How depressed would you be as a Denver fan?

No way Sanchez is the long term plan. Stop gap until some real QB shows up.

Four reasons that the Broncos make the play offs this year -

Great Defense still in tact
Chargers
Raiders
Cheifs

WillElway will do an 180 and Ask Peyton if he wants to play another year? Of course, that can't happen just yet.

If it does, I can picture the conversation.

John: Hey Peyton, we'd love to have you back

Peyton: Well John you didn't want to keep me around, FU!

John: Peyton, I really wanted you back, it's just the NFL is a business

Peyton: Would you be calling me if Osweiler was still on the team? I know this is Colorado, but what they heck are you smoking!

John: Honestly No. Do you want to play another year?

Peyton: Heck yes, but I just retired. My last game sucked donkey.

John: No problem. Will just wait until after the draft. Then you come in for a visit. Let the speculation build. Then another day you throw and we'll clear you medically.

Peyton: Sweet!

John: The press will eat it up, then you'll be our Captian America calling.

Peyton: Thanks John, I want you in my next Pappa John's commercial! And if you bring in a starting QB, all bets are off.

John: I promise ( Crossing his fingers ) Lets win another super bowl!

Peyton: Yes-- I need to pass Eli, and I want to call more of my own plays. And no hiring female trainers, that press is killing me. And for the love of god, get me a better running back.

John :Deal! Hangs up the phone. Whew.

If my team won the super bowl. I really wouldnt be that depressed. Its a hard feat to accomplish. We've been lucky as Steelers fans to see them win two in this era

Oh and be the first to get 6

Not on board with that Dj...

I like the Raiders a lot to win that division next year.

Weren't you the one saying the Steelers needed to pull any Elway?

In terms of making sure to cash in and bring in whoever you need to bring in to win a ring. How does this conflict with that assertion. Do you understand basic logic?

I think there is some element of excitement over who will come in to take over what should still be a solid team in the AFC following a Super Bowl. Finding out that Mark Sanchez is that guy would be pretty depressing. I expect that they'll be selecting a QB early.

And as pointed out, was throwing to the wrong team anyway. His arm was so shot teams didn't disguise anything and just sat on routes. Lets not forget why he was benched in the KC game to begin with. 5 complete passes, 4 INTs, a QBR (since that seems to be the go to stat for QB's now) of .1. His regular season stats finish with 9 TD's and 17 INT's, and he missed 6 games because of the "benching/injury".

Manning sure did come thru in the clutch last year in the playoffs huh? Oh wait...you mean he tried to throw away the Super Bowl, but was saved by Von Miller's absolute destruction of the Panthers OL? Say it isn't so. Again, a 7th round pick for a guy with starting experience, been to the playoffs, been to two AFCC games. By trading for a QB they will keep their chances for their comp picks next year, they can draft a QB this AND next year for all that matters.

Everyone is so hung up on repeating...I don't think the Broncos were ever a threat to repeat. They lost quite a few key players from that D, they lost both their QB's (and even with Brock their chances to repeat were low), they might lose their starting RB. This wasn't a young team on the rise much like the Panthers or the Seahawks, this was a team in the win now approach before Manning hung them up. They knew they would most likely be in a rebuild mode of sorts.

Besides, who would you have rather they gone after? Fitzgerald's name got brought up, but he has a history of folding under pressure as well. Look at what he did this year with a chance to get into the playoffs, he throws not one, but TWO key INTs late in the game. He has also never played in a playoff game. I'd pass on him too. There's nothing out there for QB's. I think it's a pretty solid move to fill a roster spot and not lose a chance at a comp pick. What other QB could they have got for a 7th round pick?

Wait, who won the SB again? Scoreboard; it's all that matters.

I'd be depressed being a Denver anything. Props to them for winning SB 50 however.

The Broncos sign Uncle Rico. John Elway states "he can throw that football over the Rocky Mountains"

Dude, the Broncos were fortunate enough to play a decimated Steelers team in Denver and still needed a late fumble to win the game. They have now lost several players from that team in free agency and you harshly criticize their signing of Sanchez. Despite all of this, you imply the Steelers still need to follow their master plan and spend big in free agency.

And you ask me if I understand basic logic. Really? Go root for the Broncos.

How does that relate to anything I said? Just taking your beating like a man and admit you're wrong.
