I mean, here the guy is, no longer an NFL player for years, and he pumped out 225 for 36 reps!?!??!?!??!?!?!

Do you realize how incredibly strong that makes him?

Sure, he probably still works out, but 36 reps of 225?

That is total beast mode. What's the most you could sling 225? I think my all-time best would have by like 20 reps. (My frame is no where near as big as Evans').

36 is an insane amount for most anyone, but especially for a non-lineman. But it is also a lot FOR a lineman.

Heath is best mode. Very impressive.

Heath Evans? So what? Isnt that the guy who played FB for the patriots and saints? Why do you care about his bench?

WGAF? The dude played for the Cheaters. Just by that fact makes me think he must be juicing...The only Heath I want to talk about wore 83 in the black and gold! Mods should end this propaganda BS now!

Don't get me wrong, he's strong as hell, but stocky barrel chested guys have an advantage benching as their range of motion is shorter than thinner guys with long arms.

I've seen lots of lineman bounce 225 of their chest 30+ times. Impressive but not that impressive.

BTW, my personal best was 11, I was 20 years old and about 205 lbs at the time. I was probably stronger in my early 30s at about 225 lbs. but never tested it.

It is important to note that as a retired player he is no longer subject to performance enhancing drug and steroid testing.

Just sayin...

Cause Heath Evans has Suh-weeet tittahs. Not like Wille doe. The most I can bench 225 btw 6 reps lol

Talking about and admiring other guys benching, reps and that sort of stuff has always sounded gayish to me.

^^^
Lol

Its worse when guys start talking about their squats and want all their gym bros to admire his glutes

Because I find it interesting a former NFL player, who wasn't even a lineman, is still that strong. Jebus H Cris on pop sickle sticks, get over your hatred and obsession. People like you need help.

Let me guess: You never picked up a weight in your life and can't bench your own body weight even once.

What you say is absolutely true - i.e. stocky, barrel chested guys can bench more, having less distance to move the bar as opposed to someone with long arms. But that being said, I still find it quite exceptional that Evans is still that strong.

36 reps at 225 is amazing, especially for a guy probably weighing 230, not 330. And for those who are claiming he is on juice, why the hell would he be? There is no benefit to him being on juice at this stage in life. What, do you think he's so insecure that he needs to impress at the gym? Highly doubt it. I would have been impressed if he did 25 reps, but 36?

Gyms and training bore me, rather practice sports. I do pull-ups on the street so yeah, I can lift my own weight easily but no you won't get a picture of me.

Pull ups and benching are polar opposite body parts worked. Bench uses pecs and tris, pull ups work lats and bis.

And Coach and I are the same person, right?

Second time you wanted me to be lumped into what has been said about you.

Only two things I have said about you. And both are true.

1 You are a troll
2 You are Pats fan

now we can debate on what degree of a pats fan you are, but that doesn't take away from you being one.

yep

I surf so is obvious that I can push up too, but really I dont care about your knowledge on this stuff. I just find it awkward to be so interested on other men's training.

Heath Evans and James Harrison are the same age.
One is a Steeler.
Deebo could likely bench 225 all damn day.

I dont see why a Heath Evans thread is relevant here, nor where you produced this drivel. No link provided.

ok...anyone here... who gives 2 ***** about Heath Evans,...please raise your hands. (crickets)

the pats fan who created this thread has his poster on his bedroom ceiling

what he does in the privacy of his own bedroom is his business

Harrison is a beast, no doubt. I am not sure he could hit 225 for 37 though. Even linemen weighing 330+ are impressive if they hit those #s.

I don't see ANY player who put up higher reps than Evans did this year.

Tell me how that is not impressive.

I did chest last night. I failed to hit 225 for 37 reps by just a few (25!)
