Say it ain't so Peyton.. I don't remember this at all do you guys??

Also funny to blame this woman for being jilted, when the article lists that she is probably a lesbian. That's what makes Archies claim of her banging black football players, laughable.

I think the article also says that she says she isn't a lesbian....and also says she is married. I could be wrong though. I read it last night after a few drinks.

Well, that doesn't quite exonerate her either. Sometimes those folk hate on the big jock types and are looking to take a bite out of them if possible. Certainly not all, by any stretch of the imagination. I am NOT saying I know in any shape, form or manner. Just that when all you are dealing with is rumors, innuendos, etc. you never know what the whole story is. Like with Ben, for instance. Do you really think he raped anyone, even though some claim it? Why not?

It was ******* behavior on Peytos part but it wasn't Sexual Assault. This is a case of NYC media looking to tear down the champion of another city because the Jets and the Giants are still irrelevant.

Even if you are perfect, there is nothing to stop people from baring false witness on you. Oftentimes, a mere allegation is enough to make you dirty. This could be a case of a jealous woman who had her feelings hurt when Peyton didn't give her enough attention.

Did he moon players when she was present? Maybe. Stuff like that happens all the time; if you choose to work in a locker room, full of over-dosed testosterone football players expect unrefined horse play to occur. Locker rooms are full of nude bodies to begin with;
so I am pretty sure the players think nothing of baring their butts.

Did he kind of sit on her head when she was examining his foot? Maybe. Did she encourage such behavior by acting like "one of the boys" leading up to it?

Peyton was what, 18 at the time? He was already being treated like a hero. It would be easy to cross the line in that circumstance.

And do I excuse such behavior? Not in the least. Do I believe Peyton was not guilty of a "crime" during this? I do. He's been the classiest player in the entire NFL in his tenure. I don't think you can fake two decades of spotless behavior.

This appears to be about getting ratings and attention. But, boy, when you are on top of the mountain, better be careful, because that is who they love tearing down.

It sounds a lot like you are making multiple excuses for his behavior.

Multiple people testified she never used profanity or acted like anything but a complete professional. There was also testimony this was not a mooning. While she was on her knees, HELPING HIM WITH AN INJURY, he put his rectum, testicles and penis onto her face. You ok with someone doing that to your wife or daughter?

In 2002 when he was what, 25? He and his grown man father smeared her and once again destroyed her career. They had to pay her a settlement because of it. Someone with years of education and experience. You ok with someone doing that to your wife or daughter?

There's been no evidence presented that she was chasing Peyton or that he rejected her. She was a grown woman, a highly educated professional. He was a teenager. The idea that she was just so enamored of him that she would concoct this story to get back at him is a bit suspect.

Her career was providing medical care to jock types.

This story bears little resemblance to Ben's. That was a drunken college kid who changed her story numerous times and couldn't even remember if she was sitting down or standing up when they supposedly had sex. This was an educated professional woman in the middle of doing her job.

You don't think putting your junk and ******* on a doctor's face when she is examining your foot is sexual assault? It damn sure is in my book (assuming she's telling the truth).

Well, the penal system would agree with you. *pun intended*

I've been aware of this since Manning was coming out of college. It's one of the reasons I've always disliked the Mannings. Just another powerful family that's been able to bend the rules and the system and use politics for personal gain. It's one of the reasons I shun the notion of Peyton as a poster boy for the NFL. He's not as bad as Brady, in my eyes, but he's in the top 3 in terms of dislike.

When you dig into this case, you see that he and the victim settled out of court, with an agreement that the situation would never be spoken of again. You will see that over the years, Peyton himself has brought the issue back up - for instance in his book - despite the agreement. He's never stopped publicly trying to ruin this woman and discredit her.

Peyton can run that big *** forehead into a wall for all I care.

He was 20 or 21. The first incident, in which the information was locked up for good, was when he was 18. The t-bag was a couple years later. They ruined her career. Did you read the article?

Her career wasn't ruined. From what I've read, she's a renowned athletic trainer now. She had to work hard to get there, but she is a leader in her field.

The majority of the guys in the NFL have done **** like this while in college, or have done stupid **** at some point during their careers. I don't watch these guys because of the person they are off the field, I watch them for what they do on the field. Everyone complaining about Manning in this thread, do you not cheer when James Harrison makes a play for us?

She lost two jobs because of Peyton. If her career is going well that's to her credit.

And not all of these guys have Peyton's squeaky clean good guy image and the millions of dollars in endorsements that go with it. I can think he's a good football player and still think he seems like kind of a dick.

I am pretty sure moat of us have played sports and where "one of the boys." Being part of that did not include getting a set of nuts placed on my head. Is that what goes on when you are "one of the boys?" You get nuts on your head?

We had a guy who would go around and if your plastic soap container was unguarded would **** in it. But never balls on the head.

Yep, that's my point, most of the guys in the NFL are just that, good football players, but douches off the field or while in college.

he tea-bagged a woman when he was still a kid. Then writes a book about it, ignoring the previous terms of agreement. So he pays her a settlement. Then gets asked again about it over the years. When he speaks about it, people get up in arms saying he's not supposed to talk about it. Then the Fem-Nazis strap their jackboots on and start a testicle stomping spree.

As has been said, there are a **** ton of college athletes - of all sports - who act like shitheads. The fact that Peyton acted like a dipshit kid his age at that age is not too amazing to me.

for ****'s sake, Rick Pitino cheats on his wife with a chick in a restaurant dining booth, knocks her up, pays for an abortion and still has a ******* job...while no one says nearly a ******* thing.

It sounds a lot like you are making multiple excuses for his behavior.

That's odd, because I don't know what his behavior really was, do you? Were you in the locker room when this allegedly happened?

Multiple people testified she never used profanity or acted like anything but a complete professional
.

And that is relevant how? So if she never swore, it means balls were on her head?

There was also testimony this was not a mooning. While she was on her knees, HELPING HIM WITH AN INJURY, he put his rectum, testicles and penis onto her face. You ok with someone doing that to your wife or daughter?

And why are you assuming her word is true, but not others? Do you have a truth machine?
In 2002 when he was what, 25? He and his grown man father smeared her and once again destroyed her career. They had to pay her a settlement because of it. Someone with years of education and experience. You ok with someone doing that to your wife or daughter?

No one "has to" pay a settlement, they choose to pay it. And that is not an admission of guilt, it is merely an admission of choosing the easiest/cheapest way to end the issue.

There's been no evidence presented that she was chasing Peyton or that he rejected her. She was a grown woman, a highly educated professional. He was a teenager. The idea that she was just so enamored of him that she would concoct this story to get back at him is a bit suspect.

So, you choose to believe her story but to other's stories you know not to believe? If you don't think women are capable of lying to get men in trouble, you haven't been around the block. Not saying she did, but I know enough to realize that happens all the time. Remember the girl claiming the Duke Lacross team gang raped her? It ended up being total lies. The accuser is now in prison on murder charges.

As a college player, Manning had a "I don't give damn about the whole state of Alabama song " , which many of his teammates sung with him.

Different times back then. Not saying it was right it he did it. I'm saying guys got away with things pre-internet and security cameras.

as a Vols fan, we simply do not give a damn or a flying **** or any kind of **** about Alabama or anything therein.
DBS will attest to this.

I bet. Sorry Sure, as long as Saban is in charge, Alabama vs Tennesse is not even a rivalry.

Something is there when Daddy dearest has to get involved and money was paid.

Daddy knew their squeaky clean family image was at risk, and he was well aware what their clean image meant for their collective futures. That has zero bearing on guilt or innocence.

What are women doing in men's locker rooms to begin with? Locker rooms = nudity, period. If women are going to demand to have jobs requiring them to be in men's locker rooms, they shouldn't be "offended" is there is some horseplay like players mooning each other.

Are men reporters allowed in women's locker rooms? Why not?

Pop, it wasn't a locker room, it was a training room, and he was sitting on a table. Read the damn article if you wish to join in with knowledge.

My issue isn't the fact that a kid did something stupid that he thought was funny. Maturity and time has a way of making men out of all of us. My problem is signing a confidentially agreement, then turning around 3 years later a publishing a book breeching that contract.

That's why the lawsuit had merit, and the Mannings HAD TO settle. If they were in the right, they would have taken this small blip to court. She shows up to court with a copy of the signed confidentiality agreement, and the Mannings would lose credibility along with the case.

If I'm reading between the lines here, I believe the settlement involved book royalties. A good lawyer would have demanded that, just ask the Goldman family...
