I don't mind you trading up to get a blue chipper, but why draft a kicker? We're set!

Yeah I could see a punter in 6 or 7 but a kicker?

I try to keep it realistic as the Steelers seem to follow a blueprint.

*a lot of big schools
very few trades if any
LBers early
TEs early
Ts early

but it's a game have fun with it

but yeah no way are the Steelers drafting a K in this upcoming draft.

Best value at that point to me. He is damn good. Probably the best since Janokowski

Just finished arguing about this with friends its time the Steelers pulled another Troy type trade. Identify a guy who is a stud athlete with tape to match and go up and get him. We dont have much needs except in the secondary. Go get one of these blue chip CBs or Safeties.

that wasn't the norm with Troy (trading up) they wanted him badly.

But who is worthy of a trade up?

And even if there was one, they already are behind the eight ball with draft picks.

Not that I don't like the idea just not going to happen IMO.

Kickers with great pedigrees in college are still kind of hit or miss in the NFL... even a 7th round pick would be better served on a boom bust prospect over a kicker when you have two on the roster...

i only did it for the draft points

Safety Mike Caputo of Wisconsin had 2 INT in the East West Shrine game today. I really like him. He's undersized and likely won't test all that well at the combine but he's a great football players with a nose for the ball. I'd love to get him with a late round pick.

I like CB Cameron Sutton from Tennessee, surprised he's had no love in this thread. Also like Karl Joseph from WVU as a safety.

Sutton has said he is staying at TN.

Just can't see us trading up with so few picks this year. Even trading back is probably not in our cards but on this game, sometimes, you get great offers. With these 2 drafts, I practically fielded entire teams. We would be totally restocked. Of course, the would all have to stick on the roster and that is doubtful.

These are the guys that I like to fill out the bottom of my roster with. Very smart and good instincts. Can play in a pinch, but will work hard and contribute on special teams.

Tried another without trading - the likely scenario. The way it fell, I would definitely take this draft.

The safeties were gone, so I wasn't able to address much in terms of the secondary. I was happy to upgrade the front seven as well as continue to build depth with offensive weapons. Had hoped to grab a lineman, but there wasn't any value.
