He looked better than Wheaton too, man was that a train wreck. I know there was a lot of animosity towards the guy wasting a 3rd on him, but he was improving and was far better than the pos they brought in.

Dri Archer will rise like phoenix from the ashes. I'm calling it now.

Granted, it will be a tiny little phoenix but a phoenix nonetheless.

I liked him better than that washed out they brought to fumble every kickoff

I think his average would have put him in the top 10-15 in the NFL on KO returns.

Good luck to him. Hopefully the Steelers will refrain from these "science project" type draft picks!!!

he has deep ties to the jets...............as he .........was ......... JET-a-SON and we helped him to realize that.

Salute the nation

they cut him, all the admits needed

Yea, but a year later than any other team would. The Steelers have a real issue with admitting bad decisions. After they finally cut Kordell, he lasted as a Bears' starter for mere weeks, and then as a Raven, they were signing dudes off their couches before letting Kordell play a single down. That is ow much the rest of the NFL knew he stunk, but the Steelers stuck with him for how long?

How was he better than Wheaton? Wheaton's train wreck game was all on punt returns. Archer returned one punt, two years ago for 2 yards...If you're going to compare players performance, at least use performances they both did.

I think he meant Jones... and once more the whole specialized kick returner position in this era is stupid...

Kordell as slash was solid. They knew they had a athlete with him. So I could understand him being around a little longer as he made plays catching, running, etc.

A team has money invested in these picks, they want to try to get a return on their investment.

Obviously with Archer they came up short.

I am sure many teams hold onto players longer than fans would like.

You are fooling yourself if you think its just the Steelers..........

I'm sure he'll be on a short leash in NY...
