.....because of the use of pain killing injections he believes accelerated the progression of his preexisting kidney disease.

Sorry to hear about him. I don't think they force any player to take anything. Unless they forced him to take something, he doesn't have much to go on. But, the Steelers, as they said, will settle this quietly and out of the courts.

That toradol can be a real mf. Sorry to hear of this set of circumstances for Kemoeatu, hope the Steelers and him can settle this quickly

The strongest pain killers or any drug of that sort taken in high doses will affect your body. I'm sure there are warnings before given or taken. I hope both sides can settle this quickly

I want the best outcome for both sides. I liked Chris' last name as it kind of rolled of your tongue. His play, a little different. Maybe this explains some of the lame brain blocking moves of his............. just saying

I'm throwing out the Bravo Sierra on this. If he takes the needle so much it gives him kidney disease I'll agree he should be compensated. Pre-existing condition that he knew about and he takes the needle anyway, well that's on him. He chose to play in the NFL and take a chance for the money and prestige. You pays yer Dollar and ye takes yer chances.

The Steelers paid him a **** ton more than he deserved, feel bad for his disease but come on, this team gave you a chance and made you rich when nobody else did.

I've got a feeling his current bank account may say otherwise...........

He claims he was never warned f the side effects of the drugs given to hm by the Steelers doctors. His health was already failing his last year or two with the Team. I saw a piece on this n I think Bryant Gumbal's show.

I hope Chris wins.

Eh out of the O line from that time. Willie Colon was my fave. He had more..."fire"....but....Kemoeatu did roll off the tongue rather pleaseant

Can the steelers file a countersuit for Kemo stealing a paycheck for 3 years?

Don't wanna sound like I'm against the Steelers in this Cope, but I do like to see players--even former at that win.

Football is a brutal sport. Even then at that, guys in the trenches have to be above 300+ pounds to excel at the pro level. That is a lot of weight to carry around for 3-6 years. I don't blame the guy.

...but the other side of me will say. This guy made some serious $$$. As far as career(job) goes. It's not that hard to understand the reprocussions of playing a physically demanding sport at the NFL level

His case is in a holding pattern, full of false starts and illegal law-and-motion.

There's another one who signed a three year deal and spent most of it on IR modeling the Duce Staley Memorial Sweatsuit.

Lol. You are correct

The guys playing time was full of flags though. I always had a blast watching him

We should sue him for losing super bowl 45 that fat pile of dog ****. When his fat *** got thrown like the pile of dog **** he is by Cullen Jenkins into Ben when Mike Wallace was open by ten yards and instead of a td for us was a pick six for the pack. He should have to give back every penny he stole from the Steelers.

I guess when it makes the pain go away you don't care but Sweet Jesus, why knowing what the side effects are would someone willingly put this **** in their body?

I've had kidney stones three times, and each time once I got to emergency room, they gave me Torodol. They never told me about any side effects and had no idea until this thread. However, as someone said earlier, when you're in severe pain, you don't care what it is as long as it makes it go away.

Standard medical malpractice lawsuit, the doctor is employed by the Steelers so they will go after everyone, probably the drug manufacturer too. Most likely will be settled by insurance companies. This is the problem with our tort system these days, it will be cheaper and easier for them all to settle than to go through the expense of a trial.

My dad got a settlement for liver damage from an anti-depressant, despite the fact that he had been a raging alcoholic since his teens.

Regarding Toradol's side effects, 16,400,000 hits availed themselves within 0.52 seconds on a Net search. The "So What" defense leaps out as to the inevitability of CK's renal failure and knowing exactly what risks are involved in his drug administration program (informed consent). Alternatively, the first do no harm doctrine in protecting the individual becomes the plaintiff's action claim.

Despite what you hear, believe, think, or imagine, the plaintiff loses civil trial cases in well over the 90 percentile (not a typo). Thus, a modest settlement outcome will likely result and the matter will quietly disappear as will Chris.
