Both got new one year contracts. Nix played huge for us this year.

Nix needs to be a full time Steeler. I'm still pissed off at Ariens for downgrading the FB position so Green Bay can yell KUHN every game for the past 6 years...

Nothing to do with Nix, but this annoys me to no end.
As far as Nix goes, he fought and earned a roster spot this year. Really like having a guy like him on the team.
Nix was doing a great job in his short time before the injury. A most thankless job, but, such an important cog to making the running attack go from good to great. Glad they signed him. Heal well, and will be happy to watch him blast those defenders for Bell and Williams,and all.

I always hated how Bruce talked about FB as unnecessary. He would say that we'd only use a FB a few times per game so it was a waste of a roster spot. By that logic, we shouldn't have a Punter either. Just let the kicker do both. Yeah, that would work about the same as having a TE try to be a FB.
I understand the game has changed and a FB will only be on the field a few times per game, but those will be short yardage plays. Those tend to be 3rd and 4th and short, or goal situations. In other words, the most important plays in the game.

Still pissed over Kuhn, too. BA is a great head coach and an idiot OC, IMO.

Nix is a keeper. Tombert loves Hubbard's postion flexabliliy apparently, I'm not sold on him at either position.
Boykin wants to be a full time starter on the outside. I put the odds of him re-signing with us at less than 10%, as we have him pegged as the third "slot" corner being his ceiling.

A great HC? Did you see that ****** throwing the ball with 2 mins and change left last weekend. He's a ******* Idiot, only because of his ego mind you, I don't think he's dumb, but he acts like an idiot because he wants to show everyone he's the smartest guy in the room and he will thrown the damn ball when everyone else would be running it.

That's the thing, he always had to do the "smarter than thou" thing. I remeber this, A perfect power run gut play and he would call a double reverse, because that's what no one would expect. They would be thinking we are gaoin to do that so I'll out smart them......type stuff. His success as a coach is what it is, but his success here in pittsburgh was, w won INSPITE of him.
Fixed it for yaz as I wouldn't want others to think he was back............
