Not blaming the coaching staff, but hopefully this is a learning thing

There was over a quarter left to play, pick up a first down and finish the drive with another score, even if it's a FG, and they're up three scores with less than a quarter to play. THEN you start playing close to the vest.
And when they got the turnover that was what I thought. Then they held, then they were incomplete. Now it is management time. And not for the injury. Its just that not every down is an attack situation. That was a mange situation. Especially if they are up 16 that is two full scores. You shouldn't normally get more than three possessions in a quarter.

I can't believe people are still questioning going for two in that situation. At that point in the game, the pluses to having a 17 point lead, far outweigh the minuses to having a 15 point lead, instead of a 16 point lead. It's basically a 50/50 play, so the odds of making it really don't play a role here. The pluses of having a 17 point lead are obvious, especially in a game where the conditions were making it difficult to mount long drives. Now, what are the drawbacks of having a 15 point lead, vs a 16 point lead? There's really only one drawback, The Bengals could tie us with 2 touchdowns, one xp, and one 2 point conversion, vs having to make two 2 point conversions if we have a 16 point lead. That's it. They're not going to take the lead with 2 touchdowns, because no coach is going to try for 2, trailing by a point in a playoff game. Some are looking at the fact that we trailed by one late in the game, and thinking that the extra point would have meant a tie game. Wrong. Had we had 16 points, the Bengals would have kicked the xp to take the lead, instead of going for 2. Going for 2 was without question the correct call there.

At 16 points it make the Bungles go for (2) 2 point conversions. I make them make them both .....odds are they won't.

A 17 point lead makes them have to score 3 times. I'd rather be in a position where I have one play to score from the 2, than to have to drive the field to get into fg range.

Odds are odds for a reason. Every point counts. If it looks like a game where you might score 30 start going for two on the first TD. Otherwise take every friggen point.
