Keys to winning the Broncos game (without Antonio Brown)

Bottom line is that we're gonna dance with the partner we got.

The key is Wheaton, Heyward-Bey, Coates, & TnT out of the backfield. Bryant is going to attract the attention that AB normally gets......They will try to take him out of the passing game. Early in the game, I'd be willing to bet that the Donks are going to concentrate on stifling our running game and see if Ben can throw and force us to pass so see how our game is without AB.

We also need to see a shitload of this........................... And the good thing there.......The Pats and the Steelers are embedded way deep in Manning's head

We need Joey Porter to keep screaming at Manning from the sideline. "I'm coming for you Peyton!" Don't think I won't!

Peyton will think it's 2005 again and become a scaredy-cat QB

The one thing we have to remember.........If the Steelers breathe on Manning.........the Hanky's will be flying and flying early.

Or just have Harrison growl that from the field... and mean it

1) I see Martavis in the catch and run routes that usually go to AB as he is explosive after the catch and the number of deep attempts by Ben should be limited.
2) Send DHB on the deep routes and Wheaton on the intermediate square ins and outs
3) Heath will probably be kept in for a greater role in pass protection, we will need a few 1st downs from Jesse James
4) Our D has to get some sort of pressure
5) NO 10-15 yard cushions by the DBs, get up and press and throw off Manning's timing routes.
6) Play smart...can't take presnap penalties on O or post snap/personal foul penalties on D.
7) Must win in the ST game!
8) would be remiss if I didn't include Tomlin, so he must be better than the dangerously average coach he frequently is
9) Win turnover battle by +2 or more
10) T n T gonna need to blow it up again

If we succeed in 8 or 9 of these we should win

HERE WE GO STEELERS!!!!

Agreed, except I don't believe Tomlin is incredibly average, but I would rather see him "go by the book" this game, the offense is depleted, the defense is inconsistent, this is the time to be conservative and manage the game.

Brown has already been listed inactive for this game, but has Coates officially been put on the active roster? Do we know definitively that he is taking AB's roster spot?

I'm with Collie and Aggie here. Go deep to Bryant in hopes of them being fearful of the deep threat which should open up some running lanes for TNT. Hopefully Ben can manage some deep balls in this game. Yes, put Manning on his *** a few times but this could be difficult since he probably will be dumping the ball quickly.

Manning will be dumping the ball. Quickly is the question

I pray for one good blind side hit on Manning early. Not to knock him out, but to make him remember how to fear.

I'd pray for a pick-six by Big Play Willie Gay after a Manning floater on an out pattern, if I were a religious fellow.

You sure God's a Steelers fan?

So here is what we do... Playa real soft zone... Never rush Manning... Let blake play on an island with no safety help. Drop the LBs into coverage and don't bother stopping the run. Keep an OLB on their TE all day.

On Offense just try to pound the ball right down their throats up the middle all day long... They hate playing zone so avoid the middle of the field at all costs.

THAT would be the best way for the Broncos to roll over us and the NFL get their dream matchup of one last Bradyman vs Suppermanning matchup...

Or we can rush him, insulate blake. Stop the run... cover the TE with a DB, and use Miller and Wheaton inside to free up the run game and Martavis and DHB deep

I've got a good feeling about today. Here we go!

They need to press the Broncos receivers until Manning proves he can beat them over the top.

Given Manning's depleted arm strength, there is no excuse to start the game with that soft zone crap.

If he proves he can beat the tight coverage downfield, fine, make the adjustment, but I'm going to be pretty pissed if they play back early and allow Peyton to dink and dunk his way downfield, without really having to test his arm.

1 Stop the run
2 Protect Ben
3 Win the turnover battle
4 Wheaton and Bryant having a solid game.
5 T n T being productive

The Steelers need to be able to run the football....it's the key to victory today.

The irony of last nights game is despite the Chiefs averaging 4.5ypc vs the Cheatriots they had Alex Smith put it up over 50 times. Terrible game plan because if the Cheatriots have any weakness it's the inability to stop the run.

Yeah, but that would make too much sense.

Haley needs to keep his head out of his *** when calling the game for the entire game. With that said, I can see them trying to keep Ben's throw count down. If they do that, it will be tough to win. We need to come out to win. That means scoring points early and often. I can't see ball control winning this game. We aren't built that way anymore. But, whatever it takes at this point. I'll take a 6-3 win. I may not have any hair left after the game but I'll take the win no matter how we get it.

We need:

* Heath/TE's to have 6+ catches for >75 yds in game. I think the TE game for us makes a huge difference.
* TnT need to have at least 80-100 yds rushing combined. We need to take pressure off of Ben; Give our D some rest in 2nd half.
* Need Bryant to have at least 6 catches and >100 yds. He needs a big game. He is AB in this game.
* Need Wheaton to have at least 6 catches and >75 yds. He also needs a solid to big game.
* Ben needs >320 yds passing; 2+ TD passes; 0 interceptions. < 2 sacks.

* Need at least 3 sacks of Manning and at least 2 solid hard hits on him
* Need 0 TO's for us; Need 2 TO's on them.
* Special Teams play solid - no mistakes; preserve field position.

These happen, it's on to NE.
