I have a feeling that Ben will play. But lets does not. Do you want Vick or Jones?

I'd prefer Jones, but have a very short and silent leash on him. An offensive game plans of heavy runs, 2TE sets, some play action, and some screens would be wise. I'd be okay with a deep sideline pass to Bryant when the safeties are cheating up, but limit deeper passes over the middle. Heavier use of Miller in the passing game. A reversre run on 2nd down with Bryant could produce a big play. I 'd even be okay with letting Vick run a wildcat play or two.

Two TD's + a two Boswell FG's could get us to 20+ points. The Defense, of course, would need to hold Manning down. I think Manning is pretty much done anyway.

No question you would go with Jones and hope they can run well enough to keep the pressure off of him and set up some play action opportunities.

Even if Ben is suited up and on the field, I still think he is considered out w/o being able to throw deep. Either way we won't have success running against them based on previous game experience. It took Ben throwing for 390 yards to pull that game out. The Broncos are an elite defense. Don't forget we are missing both of our FB's... We are missing too many ingredients for the recipe to success this week. As bad as I want the SuperBowl 50 trophy in our display case, Steelernation needs to prepare themselves for an uncomfortable situation this weekend.

Guess best case scenario is that we drastically win the time of possession battle by a wide margin. Keep Manning of the field for as long as possible. Attempt to maintain field position advantage and make 4 or more FG's while keeping Broncos to one TD and one FG made if possible.

I dress all 3 QBs in case you need Vick as the emergency QB if Ben goes down and Landry sucks.

A lot of this game hinges on Peyton just as much as Ben. A lot of unknowns going into the game. Be prepared for a lot of screens again from our O...it'll limit turnovers at least. If our D can create some turnovers or at least get some consistent pressure on Peyton, it'll be close.

I would play both. Put in a read option package for Vick. Make the Broncos prepare for everything I can.

True, but their back up tore us a new one in the first half of our last game, I'm sure they have more confidence if they need to yank Manning, than we do going to our back ups.

I don't think Manning gets a quick pull if not injured.

If Ben is a no-go:

Landry is the man regardless of play and/or score, Mike Vick has proven that he can't move the team at all.
The beginning of the game would be short passes (to build confidence and get completions) on first down, mix in the run and do the best I can to stay ahead of the sticks, maybe a back or Miller breaks a tackle and makes some YAC, a punt is positive play.
If the Steelers are 3rd and long (10 or more), take what you can get hope for a broken tackle, if you don't get a broken tackle a punt is a positive play.
In the second quarter open up the offense to Jones and company including some deep shots, agqain, if they're behind the sticks take what you can get look for broken tackles, if you don't get 1st downs, punts are ok.
The third quarter Maybe some wildcat with Vick's first read to run it and pass second. If its defended well, bag it and get Jones back out there.
Fourth quarter full offense and put the game into the skill guys hands however that may be, reverses, maybe even the throw back to Jones, some deep shots and let MB do his thing, screens to backs, etc.

Of course, this is all predicated on the score of the game as well. And, of course, the most important thing is ball security, do not give the Broncos any extra possessions, secure the ball first and foremost.
I think the defense is going to show up big again for the Steelers, Manning is immobile, his arm strength isn't what it used to be, but he is still the smartest football player on the field. If the LBs show up again like last week Manning will have a long day IMO.

If Ben can't go, you know Denver is going to stack the box to stop the run, hell they might do that if Ben plays. I'd let Landry try to hit Bryant deep if he's man to man, let Denver know we will let him throw the ball.

Realistically they have no chance without Ben, AB and Williams on the road against the number 1 defense in the NFL. Landry Jones needs all the playmakers you can surround him with and to not have Williams and AB would put way too much pressure on Jones.

If its just Ben out they still have little chance against that team. Landry Jones is not an NFL caliber QB imo.

They stacked the box in the last game, and they'll do it again. 10 defenders with within 5 yards of the LOS.

If Ben is out, my plan is to be doing anything other than watching an impending disaster. Forget if Ben is out, because unless Ben is incapacitated, he's playing.

AB is another story as he has to go through concussion protocol. But Ben is playing.

Yep and if we have a backup they are definitely going to think we won't put the ball in his hands.

Or we just hope manning is horrible and turns the ball over a few times and we capitalize on a short field
