Celebration penalties

And Hill after scoring the TD faced the crowd grabbing his crotch with both hands for at least 20 seconds. The network cut it out on the replays on purpose.

Because the kickoff has been moved up to the 35 resulting in touchbacks most of the time, which come out to the 20. Kickers these days are good enough that even kicking from the 20 the ball is going to end up inside the other 20 if not on the goal line, which often results in the kick returner not making it out to the 20.

Unless of course you actually don't score a TD. Then it is not so good.

I saw that too !!!!! Figured it ran in the family.

Salute the nation

How about Shamwow who just can't quite understand the punt catch rules. Then he stands there for three or four minutes after like he didn't do anything. I'm thinking he should be a cut prospect. If he can't figure this **** out, he ain't gonna get the defense.

Mrs. Burgundy ******* about that all the time but I maintain that since they moved the kickoff up so far, the penalty is essentially meaningless.

Exactly what I´m thinking. No big deal if it´s just enforced on the kickoff, so maybe even the coaches accept it. Still, I prefer the good old spike and off to the sidelines. Looks more manly than some chicken dance or shlong wiggling.

I understand why Gay did it the first time in the last game... the second was just overkill... I tend to agree that of all the penalties this is the least important, since its most likely giving the ball to the bad guys behind the thirty anyhow, but in this case it didn't.. it hurt the steelers in field position badly and could easily have been a game changer in momentum... the key is you don't give teams known for choking any reason for hope... make all the bad plays for them as bad as possible and give the heartless ******** a reason to roll over and die

And given us the lead.

Yes. And we would have been given another chance to score. I thought when Leon Lett ran the wrong way that it was a TD all those years ago. Did they change the rules?

He is only playing things as the Steelers ask... all of our gunners are told to get as close as you can without touching the returner.... there is no halo or distance rule in the NFL anymore... you cannot "impede" them making a fair catch and you cant touch them, but everything else is supposed to be fair game... officials **** that up a lot... they called the halo rule on him in Seattle, and its not enforced anymore...they took it out years ago... the steelers special team coach took umbrage to it

I have a big issue with this. I think celebration to a certain extent is normal and acceptable. However, the league, even with their changed rules, is completely biased. As you have already heard me say, the Lambeau Leap is no different than what Brown did with the goal post. In fact, the Lambeau Leap (or whatever other stadium it is done in) is much worse. It has become a bunch of biased BS. Either allow celebrations or not because the officials can't seem to ever be consistent on what is and isn't a penalty.

1. As far as the no td celebreation..... Deadball personal foul, it gets enforced. Think of it like this... Burfects hit on AB is reviewed (not possible I know), and is overturned, the Stupidity of Pacman would've still been enforced.

2. I believe the phrase many coaches use is "act like you've been there before" We know this is the case with Gay. He should be smarter. Icky Woods had the brains after the league started to penalize his dance to take it to the sidelines.

I don't think the penalty was on Gay, it was on Dupree for joining in.

frankly I'm all for a penalty on gay every time he waggles his ***... No one here wants to see Gay *** waggling on live TV...

And sometimes it results in the returner taking it to the house... which is a damn shame when it could have been avoided if guys could be disciplined enough to give the ball to the ref and go get ready for their next play instead of dancing around for twenty minutes.

Gonna get some cold cuts today! Lol

On a serious note. The celebration antics are out of hand. Its bad now cause everybody does it these days. Just a decade ago it was guys like Chad Johnson, Terrell Owens, Joe Horn etc. Now there is dancing for fair catches it seems
