How the **** is Wheaton's fumble, a ******* fumble? I've been watching this game a long ******* time. If someone hits the ground and his wrist hits the ground and the ball comes out afterward, it is not a ******* fumble. This is one of the worst interpretations, I've eer seen!

Shazier should have had a TD. The inadvertent whistle, screwed him out of a TD.

There is no 2 ways about it Shazier was the ******* man this game. 2 HUGE TOs. One should have been a TD. The other spoiled their chance to win a playoff game. This is huge. This is why we drafted him, and he was the difference in why we won today. Kudos Shazey!!!!

Burfect was the public enemy #1! He knocks out Ben on a clean hit after he was seen limping. Then he seals the game with an interception. He is fortunately touched on the INT, otherwise ti would have been a safety and we would have been up!. Ben comes back and he makes the personal foul on AB that puts Boz into chip shot range. What a huge range of emotion for that *******. I'm the reason why we won, to I'm the reason why we lost!!! Thanks Burfect for giving us our first playoff win in 5 years!!!

Ben and Brown will be ready next Sunday. DW may be ready as well. If not, I'm comfortable with TnT as the running backs. They did a great job today and will be solid enough to help us win in Denver next weekend!!

Not having Clark means our Safeties will be able to play next week!! We have a great chance with Peyton or the other guy. We can win another squeaker next week. Lets go Steelers!!

To add to what you said, our secondary still sucks. They gave up a potential game winning score. Were it not for the bungles screwing themselves we lose that game, and it would be our secondary's fault.

I agree, but the Steelers made the plays that counted today. The Bengals Bungled yet again!!!

Actually, I believe this situation came up in a game last week, and it was confirmed that the wrist is actually considered part of the hand. There was some debate on the play of the forearm or wrist hit first, because if the wrist is the first thing that hits the ground, the play is actually still alive. As I was watching the play and saw that it was Wheaton's wrist that was the first thing to contact the ground, I knew it was correctly ruled a fumble.

I'm looking through the NFL rule book right now to see if I can find the clarification...

The rain was terrible. Given the fact that we had guys who haven't run with anyone but the practice squad out there, I think they did pretty well. It was a VERY conservative game plan. I think they knew Burfict was going to try something so they wanted to limit his opportunities by running lots and keeping the passing game quick and short.

Ben should NEVER have been trying to throw on that 3rd and long. We got the INT, we shut them down and broke their hearts. All we needed to do was eat some clock and punt away and make them work clock and get more and more nervous. Instead we gave them Ben. Burfict is a ******* animal. Frankly I was shocked that it was a clean hit. I really was.

I think these are more thoughts than issues, but to address the Wheaton fumble, I read on Twitter from a former ref that the wrist is considered a hand. I had the same initial though, but it seemed to make sense.

Not positive but I think they changed wrist to forearm at some point. The first shazier fumble recovery should have been a TD. But it could have been worse, years ago they wouldn't have even give the steelers the ball in that situation.

I give Kudos to the defense. Holding the opponent to 16 points.. I cant ask from much more from them. I know the talent level in the Dbacks.

What really has me baffled.. Why couldn't we pass to save our lives tonight. I mean, it was like they were choking on the pressure to throw it. Wtf. Is it ben? Some smart guy please explain why all of a sudden the bungles stifle our passing game while losing two of their starting corners during the game...

Here are my issues.

1) Why wasn't Burfict penalized or thrown out of the game when he came off of the sideline without his helmet after the Shazier hit.

2) Was Burfict penalized for delay of game after his interception?

3) Were the multiple Bungle players who ran into the tunnel with Burfict penalized for Excessive Celebration.

4) SHaziers hit was clearly legal and he was robbed of a TD by an officials whistle. If not for that whistle this game would not have been close/

5) Bungle fans are as ignorant about the rules of the game as their players are stupid.

Ok... I confirmed it. NFL Rule Book, Page 26.

Rule 7, Section 2, Article 1 (a): If, after contact by an opponent, any part of a runner’s leg above the ankle or any part of his arm above the wrist
touches the ground, the runner is down.

So in that particular case, the call was absolutely correct.

Agree on the Shazier call. I thought they were supposed to be letting plays run out, correcting fumbles that weren't fumbles after the fact. The early whistle here cost the Steelers another 7 points. I have to also agree with Steel G, though. Just a few seasons ago, that wouldn't have even been reviewable and the Steelers would have been "double-screwed."

I'm still mad over the Shazier fumble not being a td. That's horseshit.

I agree with everything exept the part about Shazier's hit being legal.

He clearly led with the crown of his helmet, and that's a no-no.

Agreed, Frenchy. Yes, the receiver was not defenseless, but you just can't ever, EVER lead with the crown of your helmet. Shazier should definitely be fined for the hit. Hopefully not suspended, but you never know...

I can't believe it wasn't at least looked at closely. The Shazier Fumble TD was ridiculous. The Steeelrs were very liucky to win under the circumstances, but were far and away the better team.

The non call on the helmet off is ****** up.

I think the celebration outside the end zone or immediate area isn't called. Or called as much?

I'm not going to complain about the refs. The Shazier hit easily could have drawn a flag, and they likely would have scored on that drive. You can't lead with the crown of your helmet. We got away with one there.

You can lead with your head when it's a RUNNER. Not a penalty. If he had NOT been a runner, then it would have been an incomplete pass. He was a runner and the head leading does not apply.

It was worse than that. The TD puts us up 22-0 and Ben never throws another pass, and AB still knows the day of the week. that miss call is what allowed all the drama to unfold

I enjoyed this win against that ******* fan-base and ******* roster of degenerates.

go Steelers !

ESPN had a former NFL ref on after the game. He said the "Crown of the Helmet" Rule applies at any time, in any situation.

To what play was he talking. Shazier? What the **** ever. They got no points off of it. And it led to Roethlisberger injury. Should have been a TD though.

That is what I thought and I believe that is exactly what Mike Carey was saying...........
