I'd move Whale's Vagina. I don't want to watch Philip Rivers almost cry again next season. The whole LA thing has gotten so ridiculous and I feel like they will lose whatever team they get in less than a decade anyhow.
 
My take is that 1) there are many other things to do in L.A. and 2) traffic is horrendous 24/7 let alone on a game day.
 
Awesome. Let two of them move, and then the Jags and the stains can uproot and move to wherever gets vacated.

Imagine the stains aptly filling in the Black Hole in Oakland!

I agree with the traffic and a lot more leisure activities to do

True but in Anaheim they have Disney etc..a nd the angels play there all the time etc.. Are they planning on using the LA collesium?
 
I just don't get the NFL's obsession with LA. They've lost two teams already. I know it's big market, but the Rams never had a huge loyal following, and the Raiders brought with them an already loyal fan base. They will NEVER build a loyal fan base in LA fro the ground up. Like already mentioned, there is so much to do already in the area, and so many liberal artsy, hip, trendy, Hollywood star wanna-be's...if you're not already a fan, you won't suddenly become one. You'll have you're typical fair-weather fan and bandwagon jumpers. When the Steelers played the Rams in the SB, there was this certain glitzy, Hollywood appeal to it, but the Rams quickly faded back into obscurity once they lost their key players from that team.

My guess is the NFL wants to get that Hollywood face-time. Just like Jack Nicholson was a regular at Laker's games, the NFL wants those camera captures of the trendy star a'la mode.

I know many have their opinions about CA...I know I have a few! LOL. However, for those who believe their was not/is not a loyal fan base in LA... simply don't know what they are talking about. I am about two hours from LA and you would not believe the number of people that STILL have on their Rams gear during the season... add to the fact that they are not very good.

The Rams did not leave Anaheim (not LA, BTW) because of a lack of loyal fans. I for one would be THRILLED to have the Rams AND the Chargers in LA... just keep the Raiders far FAR away! It would give me more opportunity to see my Steelers play!

COME ON DOWN!

If 10% of 18 million people in LA metro are loyal fans, that's still more lucrative than 40% of 3 million people in SD metro being loyal fans. The NFL is also more popular than it was the last time it had a team in LA.

Yeah, I hear what you're saying, but 10% is A LOT...especially considering the demographics. LA has so many Asians, Mexicans, and other foreigners that probably don't follow the NFL. The population numbers were there in the 70s...and while the population has grown you have to consider the demographics. Plus, they will never have the city support. CA is already one of...if not the highest taxed states in the country. The state and city will give little to no concessions to the NFL or the team owners. If I recall, that's what ran Al Davis back to Oakland.

Yes, the NFL has changed and got more popular, but I would argue the changes in the NFL have made it less likely for new fans to hold a hometown loyalty. With fantasy football, and the ability to watch any game you want new fans aren't bound to watching the same team (especially if they are noncompetitive) every week.

They will initially fill the stadium and get their TV market share because the networks will hold them hostage. But unless they they are competitive from the get go, I think they will struggle to keep the stadium full or be successful with merchandise.
 
Looks like the Sunday tv games in LA will now be ****** with ****** local teams. We've been good without a team for 20+ years. Sucks the NFL is forcing a team to LA. Guess the only positive will be the Steeler games without having to buy a plane ticket every couple of seasons.

I agree with that. Its going to be the Chargers and Rams if I had to guess on 2 out of the 3. No way LA goes from no teams to 3 teams. I think the Raiders could split time in Levi Stadium temporarily if they had to wait on a new stadium. Oakland will find a way to get them a stadium. San Diego is a lost cause.
 
They can all get their ***** kicked and miss the playoffs from Fargo for all I care
 
No team has ever stayed in LA. Why on earth would the NFL entertain 2 teams moving there, let alone 1.

I agree! The Rams are LA's team and they will never support three teams. That's ridiculous! Raiders and Chargers fans deserve better since they are great fans but unfortunately they are owned by two of the worst in Mark Davis and Family and Dean Spanos and family. When we lived in SD in the 80's that Spanos family was a joke. I see nothing has changed.

Plus St.Louis doesn't really care about the Rams. They live and breath Cardinals and who can blame them. Best organization baseball.
 
Rams, Raiders, Chargers would be my order of preference to move. Raiders and Chargers both of long-time connections to their communities. St. Louis doesn't deserve to have an NFL franchise after losing two of them now.
 
**** LA....if those ******* really wanted a team they would have one already....
 
It's smarter for the NFL to not lose markets. A transitional in-state move for SD or OAK is doable, though SD is a different market and is Souther CA. OAK can easily move because SF also is in that market. Moving STL is dumb. They midwest has no teams, keep em there, so they own the market share for those states.

So to me the only possible move is OAK, to geographically work out the best for the NFL.

*Note, since JAX did not put in an offer to move, they are definitely the team to move to Europe, if the opportunity arises. That may be the tipping point for me rooting for this sport if that dilution happens...

I wonder if the NFL gave thought to going to a Canadian city? All the other major sports have Canadian franchises. Hell, buy the CFL, it's an 8 team league so split it between AFC Canada and NFC Canada divisions and make them play American rules.
40 team league with a 16 team playoffs with 10 division champs and 6 wildcards with no byes.....
