It's time for the front office to admit...

Sure Ben sucked. And Tomlin had nothing up his sleeve to get this team to win. Big cushions on defense. Poor tackling. Poor offensive play calling. All while Williams was seemingly running the ball well.

I agree with your points. But with the talent difference on the field you shouldn't need things from up the sleeve. They executed better and wanted it more. That's on the players.

Righhhttttttttttttttttttt. Tomlin's horrible career record against absolutely awful teams is because of the players. He does not know how to motivate and is horrible at in game coaching.

The offense never got good field position because the D couldn't stop Mallett. Let THAT sink in. You can't expect any offense to drive 80 ******* yards every time they touch the ball.

Im wondering how much the Rooneys even care about the team anymore. Seems like they have moved onto other things. I give the odds of a Tomlin firing 1 - 100.

Do you really think it is that high? And I will agree with you on the Rooney's angle.

Fire Tomlin, trade Ben to Jax for Bortles and their 1st and 2nd picks.

hire a HC off the scrap pile.

championship.

I did the exact thing 3 weeks ago in my franchise madden game. Worked like a charm. :)

Look, every QB is going to have a bad game. It happens. It is OK in Oct. or something. But you cannot have it there in that situation. You just can't. And he flat out sucked today.

I have had enough of Tomlin, but it isn't him that chooses to pass up wide open guys and throw picks. When are these players going to realize what is on the line and be professionals and not lose a game like that?

It reminds me of the Jets game last year. He puts a sting of real good ones together and then the stinker. Maybe Tomlin should sit his *** after a few big games because this is a trend. Play Jones and see what happens. Maybe it makes the other players realize they can't sit around waiting for something to happen.

What I said there is flat out foolish, I know that. But how the **** do you explain what you saw today, and how to you fix it?

Also, Ben has been flat out awful in road games this season: 2 touchdowns to 7 interceptions. That is mind numbing. It's been discussed here many times now the winning team usually wins the turnover battle. you can express your hatred for Tomlin all you want, mostly I'll agree with it, but that stat is pretty ******* telling if you ask me.

no

This has been going on every year, though. Stinker games a big spots with the $20 mill QB looking like he doesn't have a clue.

I have thought about this for a while now. Ben is Brett Farve. Just like Farve, we are going to look back on his career and instead of saying Wow! it will be more like, man, what could have been if it wasn't or this, or this or whatever.

I am not saying trade him. But I guess we had better get used to great moments but ultimate frustration. Just like Farve with the Packers.

Cover 2 *******!!!!

That's the new hotness...that's our new D...players don't know what area to cover and not even sure if they are supposed to be in the game on the series...how many times have we had 10 on the field this year?

Bad coaching/game plans have cost us for a few seasons...I just hope Blake is in the Pro Bowl.

make a list of the qbs ben beat and the ones he lost to. he should be happy that he played a lot of backups. not to mention other than yards his td int numbers arte not good. he's overrated and the fact he will now go 6 yrs without a playoff win proves it. not a hofer and not elite those are the facts

the O got better as the year went along the D didn't

the coaching didn't

the game planning didn't

playing down to lesser teams trend continued

Ben looked like he was forcing the ball, I simply see more D issues and coaching issues to think Ben is anywhere near the main problems

You may be onto something, or on something...Bortles is a gamer. Like him.

Didn't say Ben was the main problem. But today he needed to overcome some of the other issues, and he didn't. I would think a player that is considered an elite QB would do that is a big situation like today.

I think of after last weeks game, after he made the dumb pick late. After the game, he said he has to stop trying to make plays, and everyone kissed his *** and said, no,no. We want you to be you. They should have said, no, keep trying to make plays but don't do stupid ****.

It would kinda be like me going down the street and grabbing a beautiful woman's ***, then saying, after I get in trouble, I have to stop appreciating beautiful women.

Another loss to a sub .500 team. We have taken playing like **** to lousy teams and made it an art form. Our defense got beat by some ******* guy i've never even heard of...bam bam bam down the middle of the field all day every ******* week. We have ZERO tackling skills..ZERO it's beyond pathetic..pee wee football players do better. How in the **** can we do so well against winning teams then screw the pooch when comes to teams who suck ***. It's mind blowing. It's old.

sounds like a certain coach didn't point him in the right direction even by yinz own words

The thing that drives me nuts with Tomlin is the teams that we should destroy we are lucky to eek out a victory but against formidable opponents he does fine and gets the team ready.

I don't know if keeping a team focused is that difficult but this game was one of those head scratchers.

I know Ben played like crap but IMO the whole team even the coaching staff seemed unprepared and lackluster.

How many dink and dunk passes to the safety valve RB of the Rats did we see while our two ILB's were 10 yards off the line of scrimmage. There was no adjustment to that the whole game....Mallet abused the safety valve the whole game and the Steelers did nothing Defensively to prevent it. That IMO is on Butler for no adjustment to it.....I'm pretty much over with Keith Butler....time to promote Joey Porter to DC!

Our season was lost when Ben went down earlier in the year. With our schedule, that did not help us.

that didn't cause the Steelers to lose to the depleted rats who won 5 games on the year / 2 to the Steelers.

That is almost half due to the Steelers ******** the bed.
