A dilemma that's been bothering me...

Taz really, that's what you're worried about ? Reading your comment, I thought you were talkin' about 1st ballot HOF or something.

SB MVP....really ? I'll be happy with the expected one and done, it's a lot better than I thought we would do this year and FSF is right, the SB MVP gets a cookie and a handshake then vanishes.

Well they do get a car.....

Lord knows I'm in the market for a new one now! I'd love the free one they get!

We all remember the Kordell days lol....Kordell was actually a good QB, put up decent numbers, who made two AFC Championship games. Do you know how many teams would die for that? I understand you just started watching the Steelers in the 90's but you fans have no idea how good you had it with Kordell, Neil ODonnell, Maddox, etc. The Brister, Malone, Stoudt, era was god awful. I mean awful. I use to get so pissed off when people on this board would jump Ben's ****, and how we need to trade him, he cant read a defense, he cant do this, cant do that....there were even some morons that doubted he was a franchise QB.

When Ben leaves this team you will see how piss poor the QB play is in this league because unless we catch fire in the bottle again, chances are pretty good we'll have a ****** QB. Appreciate what we have...we will only have this about 4 to 5 more years if were lucky.

You can find on youtube the 1989 playoff games vs. Denver and Houston. Brister was so awful -- he wouldn't even set his feet before throwing a pass, when he did it was woefully inaccurate and he had ZERO composure. Man you watch Ben and how he buys time in the face of a pass rush and that in and of itself is legendary.

I really could not stand Kordell I thought he was one of the most over-rated players. He had like one good year and most everyone jumped on the bandwagon. The way Cowher treated Kordell was my biggest gripe with Cowher.

Kordell should have been a receiver. He had the arm but not the head at QB. The talent around him is what made him. He had Hines, Plax, and Bettis taking the load off of him. Ben took pretty much that same group as a rookie and went 15-1. Ben is a legit franchise QB but to call him the greatest QB in Steelers history over Bradshaw? No. Ben has the stats, and the modern era is a lot harder to win in. But.....Bradshaw has the rings, and never lost a Super Bowl

It's what happens when you mistake a great athlete for a great QB and compound it by trying to prove a hunch you had. Lots of denial.

I remember as a kid making fun of Brister for throwing poorly into triple coverage for an INT with about everyone else open or loosely covered... he had the intelligence of a can of peas....

He also, arguably, had the best of all time backing him up....that 2010 defense wasn't all that.

I think we play the ravens today. They're our most hated rival.

Yeah, #1 defense in league in yards allowed, #2 in points allowed, 2nd best ever vs. the run, featured the DPOY in Troy Polamalu..... wasn't all that....

If anything, the 2010 defense doesn't look as good for 2 reasons
1. Troy's late season Achilles injury took away his effectiveness for the postseason run
2. GOODELL'S ON THE FLY RULE CHANGE THAT MADE IT A FLAG TO HIT TOO HARD
