Odell Beckham,Jr

If Beckham had been tossed from this game the NFL quite possibly could have still suspended him for one game as well, so in my mind that's a game and a half, rounding that up he should get a 2 game suspension starting next year. The Giants have little to no chance of making the playoffs, so to make this hurt a bit the suspension should be for next year's first two games.

The entire refereeing crew should be suspended for a game as well and not be eligible for post season paychecks this year or next. They are the reason the entire fiasco escalated to the level that it did. That hit by Beckham is exactly what they are trying to remove from the game and defensive players have been suspended for similar hits that weren't even intentional during a game.

OTL was discussing this... they feel Beckham will be fined and suspended. The hit to the helmet in the ear hole could have been a disaster for both guys. With the NFL suddenly trying to champion concussion prevention and safety, this is a big no-no. The way BOTH guys were going at it was one thing, but Beckham was deliberatly doing bullshit. Fine and suspension for a game.

Wish the guy I'm playing in my FF Super Bowl had Beckham.

It was a ***** move by a two bit punk. If it were my league? I'd sit his *** out for the last two games, not just one. Stick it to him and the Giants for not taking control of the situation. And the refs, again, what a laugher of a year for them. What the hell were they doing? And after the tying TD, Beckham at least deserved another flag for taunting. The whole thing was a mess.

I think they need to suspend the officials for letting this get out of hand.

I do believe Wallace hit the wrong guy, but the guy he did hit was diving in, too (not like an intentionally late hit or anything) which is what I believe led to the hit in his head, not an intentional hit to the head by Wallace.

You are right, Wallace hit the wrong guy. The guy he hit was not diving in. He was standing there bent over the pile. It was absolutely a targeted, dirty hit. I would not be surprised if he were fined at least. The only thing that may save him is all the focus on Beckham.

OBJ just got suspended for a game.

Beckham was clearly the instagtor, he should have been tossed, and both he and Coughlin should be suspended for the rest of the year.
Apparently the Panthers had a baseball bat out on the field in pregame warm ups. Norman was waving it around in Beckham's direction. Needs to be something done about that. WTF do you need to have a baseball bat on the field for?

OBJ made an *** of himself as he fell on his face and Norman remained standing.

Apparently there are rumors going around questioning OBJ sexuality. Norman and some other players were taunting him about this all week which helped lead up to yesterdays festivities.

The Panthers have been using that this year it is a motivational prop, it is to symbolize home run plays and bringing the wood.

OBJ is now using the **** defense saying that the panthers used homophobic slurs against him. Like being called names justifies his actions.....

Panthers deny the accusation.

I think the one game suspension is justified but I don't think Norman comes out of this clean either.

As for the bat though, no reason whatsoever to have a baseball bat on the field for any reason.

Is it me, or does it seem like every week it's something else with Cody. False start. Bad snap. Late hit. Fight.

He's our very own Ritchie Incognito. I agree, even though it would have hurt us, he should have been ejected. That was just plain dirty.

Wallace has an edge, doesn't take crap and sticks up for his team. Every good team needs players like him.

Did he get the wrong guy, yeah. Did the guy deserve it, payback is a ***** and he wouldn't have been done dirty if AB wasn't getting roughed up. I prefer his eye for an eye attitude to turn the other cheek every Sunday

Wallace is a liability that we compensate for... it would be amazing what this team could be if we didn't have to help certain players with protections... having said that Coach munch is the best I have ever seen at protecting weaknesses... Gilbert looks great...Wallace looks solid and he is far from solid in technique....Villenueva is incredibly raw in a ton of areas and we are totally Ok with him in there... chips, slides... I mean everything looks so fluid 95% of the time... don't kid yourself, we can get much better... and I think that guys like Decastro are a bit hindered with how we have to play right now, cause we are limited in who pulls, and thus a bit predictable, but its just working so well... what a change over our past few coaches there

There's a difference between playing mean and playing dirty. James Harrison is mean. Ndamukong Suh is dirty.

Cody, I fear, falls into that second category.

I heard it on the radio today and was going to post but you beat me to it. Apparently a Twitterverse battle leading up to the game this week also.

You would think someone pulled a gun on the field the way the national sports media was hyperventilating about this. That's all they talked about all day. If dude played for San Diego no one would care.

I find that excuse pretty laughable. What, did Beckham think they were actually going to slug him with a bat at some point? When the game is going on, none of that **** matters. Candy *** twitter wars, intimidation, none of it. What it shows is that you can get into his head and he will more or less explode.

From the highlights, it looked like Norman had a hand in the nonsense as well. Both players should be suspended. I think OBJ let Norman and the other Panthers CB that didn't dress get in his head and he lost his composure. Shame on his coaches and teammates for not talking him down.

I still enjoy watching the kid play, and wish he was on our team. I'm not ready to label him a punk or a problem just yet. Look at how AB reacted when the Bengals DBs crossed the line in last week's game, he almost got involved in a fight, I think Ben talked him down a bit and he got himself under control.

As for Cody Wallace hitting the Denver DB, I'm all for it, good for him standing up for our star player. Denver was going after AB with bad intentions and Cody let them know "if you send one of ours to the sideline, we'll send one of your's to the hospital" (figuratively speaking), and I'm all for that. Denver set the tone roughing up AB, Cody and DeCastro were just letting them know that if they ****** around, they'll lay around.

Whatever Cody Wallace's intentions were that was a cheap shot. He should expect a hefty fine.

Good first line.

Not sure I'm buying the second line. Wallace jumped in when the Bronco defender came barrelling in way late on the play (and wasn't flagged).

Back to your first line: The '70s Steelers were mean. But the Raiders (i.e. Tatum and Atkinson) were dirty. Noll was right when he referred to their "criminal element."

Williams wasn't down yet so I don't see how the Broncos guy would of been flagged. It was borderline cheap shot but Williams wasn't down. Wallace's play was a blatant cheap shot and it wasn't even on the guy he thought had committed the foul. I think Cody Wallace falls in the dirty player category not the first time he's done something like that.

It wasn't Williams. It was AB. It was a dirty hit by Wallace. He will be fined and he deserves it. But I got no problem with it. The guy went for AB's head when his forward progress was done. Like a good team mate in Hockey Cody stood up for a star player. AB and Ben would do well to slip him a Rolex for Christmas. ******* will think twice before they pull that **** again.

My bad, AB. Still a cheap shot, If it was the other team doing it some would be up in arms. He could of rushed in and picked up the guy that he thought committed the foul and shown he wasn't taking that **** and I would have no problem with it. Instead he just flew at another player that wasn't even involved. There is a difference between sticking up for your team mate and just being a cheap shot artist. I think his play falls in to the second category in this instance.
