Scobee hid injuries

Sounds like an excuse because I did not see where he even said what the injury actually even was

Josh Scobee reveals he played injured in final game with Steelers
Caitlyn Holroyd Dec 19, 2015 2:31 PM
Injuries may have been a factor when Josh Scobee missed two late field goals in the Pittsburgh Steelers' Week 4 overtime loss to the Baltimore Ravens, a game that ended up costing Scobee a job.

Scobee told Garry Smits of the Florida Times Union that he pulled a quad and hip flexor muscle in his kicking leg during practice the day before the game, something he hadn't revealed until now.

"I'm just now healthy enough to where I'm open to going to a new team," Scobee said. "No one really knew about it (the injuries) because I just didn't talk about it. After I got released, I didn't talk about it."

Scobee said he downplayed the injuries to the Steelers, only telling them that he "tweaked" the muscles.

"They didn't know much about it," he said. "I think they would have made the same decision (about cutting me). It's unfortunate, but things happen for a reason."

Despite the disappointing end to his 2015 campaign, Scobee is confident he'll be on an NFL roster before minicamps get underway in May.

"I'll be somewhere," he said. "People give me funny looks, 'Oh, I feel so sorry for you.' They don't need to feel sorry for me. I've seen bad things happen to football players."

If the guy had injuries, did Tomlin know?

What about the missed FGs in the first game against the *pats? Was he injured before we traded for him?

Maybe we can void his contract and get some cap space?

Sue the *******

Would be a reason why Tomlin wouldn't march out an injured kicker to try and win that Ravens game.

Maybe you should read the quote again. Pay particular attention to: "No one really knew about it (the injuries) because I just didn't talk about it. After I got released, I didn't talk about it."

Maybe I'm wrong, but words such as "no one" and "they" would seem to mean the Steelers organization and Tomlin. If you're looking for someone to blame within the organization for not knowing the extent of Scobee's injury, start with the trainers and the team doctors.

If it's true, that's even worse. So he knew he was gonna suck and didn't tell anyone. Gee thanks.

If you're hurt and can't kick then ******* tell someone so the team can adjust, have the punter practice FG's, whatever.

sounds like he is throwing something out so that someone picks him up.... I sucked because of a injury.... no Scooby do you sucked because well you suck.
