As the Bengals punt to the Steelers who had no TOs remaining at the end of the first half "So the Bengals will get the ball back with 2 timeouts remaining..." And then when the Bengals kicked the FG to make it 23-10. "That makes it 23-20"

I don't mind celebrating by slapping each other's helmets, chest banging etc... it's the stupid dancing and the "look at me" **** I don't like. You didn't win the SB dumb ***. You picked off A.J. McCarron making his what 10th NFL pass? Act like a pro and stop looking like a dumbass.
Not only is it excessive and asinine looking to celebrate like that, it's juvenile and self serving. Then there is the constant bad mouthing and taunting like a bunch of street punks and the showboating on every first down like the earth should stop spinning and clap.
I'm not necessarily anti-Tomlin but I think that he is the first Steeler coach to condone this childish bullshit.
Better yet instead of the "watch me" exhibitions they put on now, why not raffle off a designated "watch me" exhibitor out of the stands to show off for awhile, sparing the athlete the Benny Hill connotations.

I agree with most of it SteelChip, but I have to admit, I lost my **** watching the "reel in the fish" celebration. Absolutely awesome!
It's better IMHO to let them celebrate a little, then have the referee crew try and figure out whether each celebration is a penalty. Keep it simple, just cut out props and hitting the goalpost, and no vulgarity/violence depiction. I don't personally care if the football is used as a prop in a panamime. Pupunu ripping the top of the football off and drinking it like a coconut was always amusing.

I had just made fun of NC Panthers and their little college raw raw raw and then this happened. No need, I would be surprised in Tomlin did not talk to Porter. I know big game and all this but way overboard.

I don't think it's juvenile or childish or self-serving or whatever. Football players have shorter careers than most other pro sports, and get less guaranteed money to do it while putting their bodies and brains on the line to entertain us every week. If they want to enjoy themselves when they achieve something great, by all means do it. And most importantly, I think Tomlin knows this team plays better when they are loose, confident, and having fun. That's why I think he allows this. And I can't say I disagree

Easy. It's excessively over-the-top and stupid-looking. It makes me cringe, not smile. Unlike Brown's hugging the goalpost celebration the week prior, which I enjoyed thoroughly.
It was just the opposite for me.. considering AB hit the goal post with his legs spread apart, now that is cringe worthy.
Either way, it was an emotional game vs. a hated rival. I enjoyed it.
To each his own. The world would be a boring place if we all thought the same way.
This team seems to be coming together at the right time and having fun --- I'll always prefer team-oriented celebrations to the "look at me" variety but they don't really get my panties in a wad as long as the team is trending in the right direction. Good things can happen when a team strikes the perfect balance of preparing like heck during the week and playing completely unencumbered on gameday. This team doesn't fear anyone in the NFL right now, and it's legit confidence not the fake Bengal bravado.
Watching the Pats on Sunday night, I saw one of their defensive players making an *** out of himself after a fairly routine play. Lots of posters here subscribe to the "Tomlin lets these guys run wild without any discipline" school of thought, but it's just not true. We are one of the least penalized teams in the NFL. You're just not comparing the Steelers with the rest of the NFL in an objective way if you are going to cling to that notion.

I will tell you what, you know what that illustrated to me? That this team has great chemistry, and without it, you won't win jack crap. We had great chemistry in our recent Super Bowl wins - seasons without it - we were FAIL.
In 2005, the players had mad love for each other, and I think this team does as well, so look the F out!

He did have a great game, but my favorite 55 moment was when he lit up that TE for Seattle at the goal line in the Super Bowl (Stevens?) after an exchange of words in the media hype leading up to the game
