How do You go from starter to 3rd string on your day off

by doing a Lamar Odom Weekend?

I saw that earlier. What a hammer head.

In answer to the OP, get bdrafted by the browns. That will do most anything below normal for yaz. Johnny brings these things on himself, but it's the Browns organization that keeps bringing these types into their "lime Light"

Salute the nation

Bias aside, this is REALLY stupid in the Browns part. The video is nothing. He's just having fun with a couple friends. Just because he was in rehab and notorious for partying doesn't mean he's never going to leave his house ever again. And it doesn't mean he doesn't take his job or life seriously, or whatever the narrative is going to be. This is honestly ridiculous. People will make a story as long as someone, somewhere tells them it should be a story. This is a non-story turned into one because of some stupid gossip mongering website. He does not deserve to be benched for that. The article even says he didn't get into any trouble. Come on

Drinking anything is a serious issue when someone has a substance abuse problem. The problem is even bigger when that person is your franchise QB.

Johnny was not in rehab for partying. He was in rehab for drinking. He has a drinking problem. That's why recovering alcoholics can't have even one drink, not a single drop.

Eh let the guy live with his consequences. I love beer myself but can control my intake. Don't understand how a professional athlete can be that much into drinking. **** let him drink three beers a day if he wants. I'd drink heavily too if I played for Cleveland ;)

Didn't keep Mickey Mantle from getting into the HOF.

Too funny......

It is the name. Johnnyfootball, Johnnylaw - see that doesn't work real well, for anyone.

Like when he was pulled over by the police after an altercation (fight) with his girlfriend. He'd hit her. After at least one drink. Ya. You're right. This is stupid. The Browns shouldn't do anything at all. You know what. The Browns are FINALLY getting their **** together and I applaud them for it. I'm sorry they made a terrible choice with this guy. But now they're doing absolutely the right thing and saying "You're a ****-up Johnny. In fact you're too much of a ****-up EVEN for Cleveland and that's the end of the ****-up line boy." Good for Cleveland. I sincerely hope they get a GREAT ******* QB next year. It would be nice to finally have a decent rivalry again. Ya, I said it. You get tired of Madden on God-Mode after awhile.

No kidding. That's what people seem to be forgetting. Johnny is a drunk. Not a cute kid with a great arm. He's a drunk. He needs help. Folks can be jealous of the fact that he got a big contract, they can be irritated by the fact that he's obnoxious, but the truth is, most drunks are. In a couple years though, he'll just be a broke obnoxious drunk unless he gets help. Maybe the Browns giving him a REAL dose of reality can help him. He'll never be a real NFL QB again likely. He'll probably be relegated to backup roles for the rest of his career IF he can even pull his **** together, which is unlikely. But at least the Browns are trying to give him a chance. And they're doing the best thing for themselves and their fan base.

True. Booze is merely a trigger for a bigger sociological problem. It simply opens the door. Recovering alcoholics can go years and years without drinking and then "fall off the wagon" after having 1 or 2 drinks. You've got to turn your back on it forever because booze isn't the real issue. It's your internal chemistry and "head-makeup" that's the problem. Booze just lets the problem out.

That's why pot, a seemingly innocent enough drug to most people can cause so much trouble for somebody like our own Martavis Bryant. It lets his problem out and it's why he has to turn his back on it completely. Not just during the season. Not just when he knows they'll be testing. He's got to step away from it completely and permanently because he's an addict.

The Clowns may be looking for a reason to unload him and using this as a way out. YOu can clean up some drug and alcohol problems,, you cant clean up a pick that will never be any good.
Just a possibility throwing it out there.

To the bolded: Thanks captain obvious
To the rest: That's nobody's business but his and his family's, not even his employer's. TMZ made it everybody's business. Bench him if his play declines - which there is really no indication that is happening at all. In fact he's only gotten better. This move was just to appease people like some of the posters in this thread who like to get up on a high horse and declare that how another human being spends his free time should influence his livelihood, even if it is not breaking any laws or harming anyone. I pray that none of your employers get video of you in your worst moments and publicly declare that you are no longer fit for your position. In this day when no one has privacy anymore, that **** is definitely possible.

I know he had the coke picture, and then he got into trouble for missing a meeting or a practice late last year. Then he went into rehab. Now this video. Maybe I'm missing something, but really if partying is getting you out of the NFL, there will be know more players. I'm sure there are a million other examples that we don't know about and they just had enough. I will say this. I'm sick of people and their camera phones documenting every last thing. Like he is your friend and he is out with you. Then you sell a video to TMZ. **** off. If you were in my circle of friends when I was that age and were that much of a Judas, you better watch your back. I'm sure my viewpoint is in the minority, but whatever.

Assault and driving under the influence are most certainly breaking the law... He hit his girlfriend while he was in the driver seat of his car and admitted that he'd had "at least one drink."

We are either to assume he's the kind of guy who'll hit a woman after "At least one drink", or that he's the kind of guy who'll have more than one drink before he hits a woman and lie about it and drive. Which do YOU prefer, Aggie?

It's like when that dick took a pic of Michael Phelps smoking a bong. SNL called the guy out for it.

It's pretty simple though Sask...

If you don't show up for work - and the next day or so a video shows up of you partying your *** off and your employer sort of puts together the reason for you not showing up for work...

well... You MIGHT consider checking out the want ads.

I have a friend who bought the building that houses our brewery. She only owns the building, she walked away from managing the 2 bars in it for the reason I'm about to describe. The "bar manager" has some bouncers. One of them tends to call in sick, particularly on weekends. You know - when you NEED bouncers. Anyway, this guy calls in on a Saturday and the manager tells him, "You bet, feel better."

Sure as ****, the bouncer walks in, drunk off his *** at 1:45 looking to "after hours". The owner happened to be there and fired him on the spot. Drunk bouncer sobers up in the morning and calls the manager and whines about how hard his day had been and he really just needed to blow off some steam. He and his "old lady" had had a fight etc. So - manager says "Don't worry about it. I'll take care of it, come on in next week.

Owner is ******* pissed. I mean freaked out pissed. She's furious. Manager explains that it's hard to get good employees and sometimes "you just have to give people leeway."

Next week bouncer is 2 hours late for his shift and comes in tweaking.

Good times. The owner said "**** it - this is your headache." Manager now regularly calls the owner up and asks for bridge loans to help with payments and payroll. Owner says, "Can't do it. had a fight with the "old lady" "Need to blow off some steam".
