They were playing their 3rd string QB by the end of the game. They got beat at home by a 3rd string QB. It wasn't that they started slow... they never did anything. They were given a gift TD by MSU on a punt muff. Other than that they didn't do anything.
tOSU didn't come to play. They got their ***** whipped in every aspect of the game.
Buckeyes finally played an opponent with a level of talent comparable to their own and got beat... at home... with the opponents's best player, the quarterback, not playing. All year I've heard that they just haven't been playing to their capabilities. I've been saying all along that maybe they just aren't as good as everyone thought. I think tonight proved me correct.
Sorry about the loss, Buckeye...
The play calling on offense was awful. If Meyer doesn't have the confidence in his QB's to run the whole play book, why in the hell are they his QB's? Miller is there, yet he is a sideshow. I am not a OSU fan, but I don't get it. They can run on almost anyone. The limiting factor has been the QB play. Inconsistent at best.
Wow, did I miss something or did I actually say something very similar to that in post #5. And MSU was playing their 3rd string QB throughout the game. They ran a two QB system with Cook out.
Here, let me quote the relevant part of my statement above:
They did come to play. They just got beat. They played one ranked team all year and got beat at home by a 13 point underdog playing a 2nd and 3rd string QB. They passed the ball ONCE the entire 2nd half.... ONCE. The OSU defense was hammered all night. Maybe they aren't that good? Maybe they just played a soft schedule and they were overrated?
Tell you what, if that's what makes you feel better ... you are most definitely entitled to your OPINION. I'll even consider it ..because when it comes to overrated teams, an Ole' Miss fan would know.
Gotta love when the Buckeye haters come out after they lose.
*23-game win streak snapped*
"Oooohhhh toldja they sucked, dyooood!!!"
