Thursday Night Football

If the Chiefs lose to the Broncos this week, they will be 3-6. They still play the Raiders twice and the Chargers twice. Chargers may stink, but they still have a potent offense with Rivers which - to me - makes it close to a toss-up division game. I just don't see the Chiefs finishing better than 8-8 IF they lose this week. They are just not good enough (Alex "dink and dunk" Smith at QB, Jamal Charles out) to close the season 6-1.

Yeah, the Broncos should handle the Chefs with no problems. Those West division games make me nervous though. And I hope the Vikes stay hot this week too.

I hear that side too. But "it is what it is". The other angle is that I really want the Steelers to get the #5 seed (to play at the Colts/Texans/Titans/Jaguars) rather than the #6 (at Broncos or Bengals) which makes it harder to root for the Jets to get the inside track there (had the Jets won last night, they'd have a pretty easy path to 8-3). Bills could definitely lose their next 2 (at NE, at KC). The Jets might win their next 2 (@ Hou, Mia) but they do have some losable road games down the line (Giants, Cowboys with Romo) plus the Pats again.

It's great Bills-Jets play again in Week 17.

Well, with these teams (the Steelers included) there really isn't an "easy" path none of these teams are going to win out and each game could be competitive, IMO. The Jets schedule may seem "easier" but Fitzpatrick isn't carrying that team and as we saw last night Marshall is erratic, Ivory is Ivory and as good as the defense may be, a good offense will beat a good defense in today's NFL.

Tyrod Taylor isn't the answer at quarterback for the Bills, IMO, so I'd be happier had the Bills lost and made their playoff journey more difficult by having to jump over the Steelers and leave the Steelers behind only the Jets and their "easier" schedule.

We shall see how it plays out.

One interesting thing you have to consider if there is a 3 way tie breaker between the Steelers, Jets, and Bills, the Steelers are automatically in. (that is if all of them are tied with the same record at the End of the year) The first tie break eliminates all but one team for each division:

Three or More Clubs

(Note: If two clubs remain tied after third or other clubs are eliminated, tie breaker reverts to step 1 of applicable two-club format.)

Apply division tie breaker to eliminate all but the highest ranked club in each division prior to proceeding to step 2. The original seeding within a division upon application of the division tie breaker remains the same for all subsequent applications of the procedure that are necessary to identify the two Wild-Card participants.
Head-to-head sweep. (Applicable only if one club has defeated each of the others or if one club has lost to each of the others.)
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four.
Strength of victory.
Strength of schedule.
Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
Best net points in conference games.
Best net points in all games.
Best net touchdowns in all games.

the NFL needs to stop with this BS. League calls these uniforms "color rush". Every team on TNF for the rest of the season will be wearing their version of this garbage. So glad the Steelers don't have to wear this nonsense. I'm not buying it (no pun intended)!!!!

They will be wearing them next year though. They should just call it what it is, money rush.
