What if Ben is injured to a point where he can't go on this season. A good possibility. What if Landry Jones comes in , and by an act of God, leads this team to the Super Bowl.
I know it is far fetched.,,,,,,,but,,,,,,what if.

Does Ben lose his job?

No

nope

I like Jones....I don't cringe or freak out when Ben goes down....I know he can run the offense and one thing jones excels at is he doesn't hold the ball forever......he gets rid of it quickly

Landry Jones and he has my full support will not lead this football team to the SB this year. I'm just hoping he can beat the Browns next week and pray that Ben heals up in time to go in three weeks.

Jones can manage a game....that's about all you should expect. When he has to drop back 35 times, youre in deep trouble. He does a poor job of going thru progressions....its one read and throw with Landry...and if you move him off his center hes not accurate at all. But hes what you would expect as a backup. If he leads us to the SB it will be because he manages the games well and hands off to Williams.

He should really lean on Heath more but I understand Heath is gonna be relied upon to block because god forbid Landry gets hurt

I'd **** my pants twice over if Landry Jones somehow got this team to the sb

Brady wasnt much better when he took over for Bledsoe. .....NO IN NOT COMPARING LANDRY TO BRADY........but if he practices with the starters....learns the game better...works on his craft and arm strength.....I think he'd be a quality starter.

He has the measurables....and he is calm as hell in pressure situations......I think hell surprise some people next week.

KC would've been tough even with Ben.

If **** was food on another planet would you eat it. They could win a few games with Landry. I hope they can beat the Stains next week with him but it is 50 50 in my eyes. Super Bowl. Really.

He made some big time throws today.

I'm telling you guys you are all selling this guy short. With a right mentoring he'll be a good QB.

That's not the way I remember it

Jones has performed well off the bench where he's connected with his playmakers, who made plays in open space. I know it would be nice to have a dependable, young No. 2 quarterback, but he has a LONG way to go before I even want to think of him replacing Ben, even with a miraculous Super Bowl.

Drugs will only lead you down the road to bad things, my friend.

I dream some wacky *** dreams too OP

but damn

Landry needs lots of work on his deep ball. It's like a moon shot.

Although I'm starting to like Jones and he's making some really good throws, he still can't read a defense. Rewatch any game and look at his head.. it doesnt move. Jones will strive in man to man defenses where he can lock on to a WR and just throw it when he's open, but he'll struggle greatly in zone coverages. Luckily he came in on games where defenses played man to man (Cardinals and Raiders). The Browns play a mixture of man to man and cover 2, should be interesting.

Absolutely not but I sure do hope it happens. We deserve to be on No. 50. No other team does and especially not the Cheatriots.

Good thing ben will return soon

At some point an AFC team will almost certainly run into the Pats**** on the way to the SB and we can almost never beat them even with Ben. Again, the Steelers got to three SB's in six years but miraculously someone else took out the Cheating Bastiges From New England or they didn't get to the playoffs because Brady was on IR as I recall.

Laundry's going to be coming up on his 2nd contract after next season. He probably doesn't want to be a career backup behind Ben and will test the FA waters. If he has a great finish to this season, he is a no brainer to get value from in the draft. I'd love to get a 1, 2, or 3 for him and would do it in a heartbeat. Anything below a 3 doesn't meet the value for a backup QB.

It all comes down to his performance, and he has to show something better than the KC game.

Barring serious injury, we don't have to worry about finding Ben's replacement for another two or three years. (And Landry ain't it.)
