He jumped on his back and the way he pulled Bell down looked like a horsecollar tackle. That POS Burfict is known ankle twister as well.

Hopefull bell can make a full recovery..its an MCL but done for the year....

Honestly, I didn't think that was a dirty tackle. I hate it happened, but I didn't see anything wrong.

It was a clean tackle. Just a freak accident

Clean tackle just got his leg rolled up on and bent the wrong way. It happens it's football.

I had the same effect as a horsecollar tackle, but it is a legal play... its a very dirty move, however, and you dont see many players try to tackle like that, especially on the sideline... Burfict is a dirty guy, but I do wish we had drafted him... he was a first round talent that fell due to character flaws...

You see it all the time when players get dragged down from behind, I don't think it was intentional. Just extremely bad luck.

People seemed to be freaking the eff out, but I never got the impression it was a dirty hit, or that there was intent to injure. Sometimes **** happens.

Borderline tackle -- close to but not technically a horsecollar. Burfict was coming across to tackle Bell high and his momentum wrapped him around Bell as he brought him down. I don't believe there was any intent to injure Bell -- just an attempt to stop him.

I saw people were upset that Burfict was celebrating. I honestly don't think he was celebrating that Bell was hurt. Besides, it was no worse than Mitchell "celebrating" his good hard hit on the WR that caused an incomplete.

The tackle was fine. I seriously doubt that he celebrated the injury. We sound like Ravens fans.

Tackle was legit. Celebration? We have no room to talk with Mitchell's antic's. Coach T needs to sit down with him and Heath Miller to talk about how you conduct yourself. We cannot afford 15 yard Unsportsmanlike penalties.

I honestly don't know why someone would celebrate a tackle on an 8 yard gain on 1st down.

Heath Miller? Did I miss something? The guy is the picture of a quiet pro. Tell me what I missed in my drunken disbelief of that game.

3 minutes after Burfict ended Bell's season.

Yeah, Mitchell looked like an idiot celebrating that hit, especially minutes after Bell went down and Burfict celebrated

You guys obviously do realize, the players see a different game than we, as fans, see. We get the camera angles, the close ups, the smug after the play stuff. They get just what they can see on the jumbotron and word of mouth. Not defending mitchell or anyone else, but did mitchell even know of the celebration of "bell's hit", other than by mouth? Maybe jumbotron showed it, but I think as fans, we think the players see more than they actually do. I see to much celebrations for my taste. I'm a been there done that sort of person. BIG plays, yes, Making a tackle ofter a 1st down pick up,....not so much.

Salute the nation

It was a legal **** tackle. He jumped on his back from behind and rolled up his knee. It wasn't like a Jordy Nelson knee blow out. Burfect's ****** technique led to the injury. Like I said everyone uses that technique, no one lasts a season. Hope Burfect blows an Achilles Sunday. POS.

I think we are giving him way too much credit. If Burdock can somehow control physics I guess it could have been intentional but otherwise it was an unfortunate thing. Wishing injury on other teams players is bad juju.

Maybe Burfict was out of position, was a little rusty and knew he had to help get Bell down because he's an unbelievable talent. So he did an imperfect but legal tackle out of desperation to help prevent a big gain or TD.

I'm just saying that in the heat of the game, every time the ball is in Bell's hands, the defense's eyes get a little bigger and it's a minor emergency.

Exactly. You would have no reason to celebrate that. The only thing that makes sense is he was celebrating the injury.

Hopefully all of the folks in this thread who complained about Burfict's legal hit on Bell are complaining about Mitchell's crown of the helmet hit on the earhole of Murray today.

Why when you are Runner there is no helmet to helmet penalty. It's perfectly legal

Exactly. How many times have we seen running backs get smoked helmet-to-helmet? Hell, Williams got blasted today in the head on a play. Or a few years back on thanksgiving when Bell got his "bell rung" against the Ravens at the goal line. Mitchell's hit wasn't dirty. He also didn't get up and celebrate injuring someone. As a matter of fact, he went over there as Murray was being assisted off the field.
