Bell's injury - ACL spared?

"Gentleman, we can rebuild him"............
Sux but with the work ethic this kid seems to have he will come back strong. Feel much better
with DeAgelo than last years options.

Williams is a post 30 year old back. I like him but they need a quality backup. What a ****** terrible year.

we had Ben Tate last year. He's worthless.

Pierre Thomas would be my choice. I highly doubt they bring up Pead.

Pead will be traveling to Pittsburgh for a tryout, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

So you propose we sit on our hands like last time? That worked out well

No, thanks

I think they more so want someone they know is in some kind of football shape. While I'm not a fan of signing Pead, bringing him in for a tryout would lead me to believe they aren't just sitting on their hands.

It isn't about Deangelo. He will be fine with his 15-20 or so carries. But you need someone for the other 5-10. Clearly Dri is not that person.

Todman could get those carries and he can help in the passing game too

You'd think they'd have a file on every running back on every roster, including practice squaders.

Is that what I said? Do you need to review Reading Comprehension 101 for Beginners? How well did Ben Tate work out for us last year?

Trade somebody for somebody

Maybe we could trade for joique Bell? Or is he worthless now. His YPC ain't setting the world on fire.

So basically this is a 8 to 10 week injury unless ACL damage is present, right? I mean there is no reason to keep him active on that timeframe....

put Vick at RB

Another Snake Bit year for the Steelers I guess.

I'd be on the phone begging Tampa Bay to trade us Doug Martin

For what, though? I doubt they would take a late round pick for him and we don't have any to give. We blew them on a bench warmer and a used up and cut kicker. But, I would take him if we could get him at the right price.

Bell's an unrestricted free agent in 2017. His next contract is going to be very difficult. When it comes to running backs, their shelf life is rather short. I've seen players come back from 2 knee injuries, and I've seen others just fade away. Bell seems to have an excellent work ethic, so that's a plus. But would you give him NFL RB franchise type of money ( 10+ million ) as a free agent. Man--that's a tough one.

You mean we could essentially give him an entire year to see how his knee is doing before giving him a contract? It's not really a tough one, Bell is one of those rare backs that don't come along very often. Adrian Peterson and Marshawn Lynch are the only two backs that make more than 9m a year. A player of his caliber is definitely worth that type of money.

why not Alfred Morris?
Foreskins look to be trying to phase him out.
