Pom Pom thread

1. Landry Jones wasn't totally and completely inept.. he only somewhat stunk when it came to anything except throwing to his primary read, and really of his 3 turnovers, only one was really his fault, the one right before half time, and it didn't really cost us points. The other pick was on Brown and the Fumble, well he got crushed by an all pro coming free
2. Villinueva did ok, except when he let up the game ending sack
3. Brown had a pretty good game, well except when he tipped an Int to the other team
4. Bell looked good when he wasn't running vs 10 man fronts
5. Bryant still is absurdly talented, even as the decoy for the middle part of the game
6. Miller is still our best secret weapon... if we ever try to use him no one will expect it
7. Blake gives up a bunch of catches, but then he gets to hit those people hard
8. Cam Thomas isn't the starter
9. The tackling, as a whole, cannot get worse
10. Everyone expects losses to bad teams... it was well prepared for... its why we lost to the ravens.. its easily fixed... tell the Staff that every team is undefeated and per new NFL rule they are starting with a 3 td deficit and we will be fine
11. Mike Mitchell talks the best game in the NFL.
12. Boykin played a few snaps, but still is still way under the 60% that makes us give up a 4th
13. Boz is still perfect... a great kicker for the offense that likes scoring FGs again.
14. Dri Archer had as many good returns as utterly and totally stupid ones today

We are 4-3 without Our best player on offense for 4 games and our best player on defense for 4 games. Without pouncey. without Martavis for 5 games. We should be just fine with most of the gang back together.

oh and the Walking dead comes on in a hour. That's about it for pom pom

I'm sorry, but I can not accept this "trap game" excuse. I couldn't believe I heard the announcers say it in the 4th quarter, and certainly can't believe I am hearing it here. I want to know where a trap game is defined with the "favored" team having their #3 QB making his first NFL start.
 
Jones did good. Haley ****** him to a degree with thinking he had Ben back. Run more like last week and it's a W.

Boykin didn't have a pass thrown on him again this week. (I know I know, had to toss that in)

We still have a kicker

Ben should be back next week

Bryant is just nasty if we can continue to get him the rock.

I love me some iron this year. What happened from last year. He seems soooo much better.
 
If all we got out of this run is finding a legitimate kicker I'll take it. Somewhere down the line we will need him to kick one to win a game, and for a change I don't leave the room every time we line up for a FG or XP. If Ben is back next week I like our chances.
 
I didn't kill any dolphin fans today. Maybe tomorrow.
 
Well, Boz remains our kicker, and remains infallible. :)
 
No one else in our division won today! :congratulatory:
 
It could be worse. We could be the Eagles and suffer through 5-8 drops game.

Not for nuthin', but actually our 4th string QB.....and agree, nothing "trap" about limping into Arrowhead.

I'm sorry, but enough with the damn excuses. Who is the head coach? Who is the one who is responsible for WASTING 4 damn minutes at the end of the game and even f'in HUDDLING UP when we're running out of time and down two scores? Who is the one responsible for continually putting Blake and Jarvis on the field? Who is the one, year after year, who keeps having the stupid *** 10 yard cushions on defense. THE HEAD DAMN COACH!!! We CONTINUALLY lose to the worst teams in the league. More than anybody, the blame likes with Mike Tomlin. Why in God's name do some of you keep accepting his bullshit?

Oh, and sorry, since it's a pom pom thread, Bell, Bryant, and Brown were all awesome. It was good to have Shazier back, and it's nice having a kicker you can actually rely on.
 
After 8 straight run plays called in the 2nd quarter we know for certain that the team is not afraid to commit to the run.
 
The kicker and punter were both solid yesterday. And dare I say, Archer actually looked decent returning kickoffs.

There's blame to be had by BOTH players and coaches. I mean, Chandrick West had 81 career yards coming into the game. His output yesterday was what 100?? The players do have to execute better, no doubt about that. However, Tomlin's decision making as it pertains to personnel is killing me. How week in and week out you can continue to put Antwon Blake on the field is beyond me. The guy has got to be one of, if not the lowest graded corners in all of football. And the opposition is throwing at him constantly. Every time you see a big pass play, you can rest assured knowing that #41 is trailing behind him. Not only is he a god awful cover guy but he's a rotten tackler too. sure, the pick-6 against the Chargers was instrumental in picking up a victory, however it's time for him to sit down.
