Looks like Landry is our starter this week.

Y'all are going to look awful bad when Jones goes 20-24 for 400 yds and 6 td's.
I can't tell if your steak is covered in sarcasm sauce???
Where did all those people who wanted to cut him the last 3 years go?
I was one of them. My crow pie was quite tasty on Sunday evening...

If he starts the gameplan has to be take care of the football and avoid deep dropbacks that allow the KC pass rush a chance to get to him. Gonna be interesting on both sides of our tackles, especially with RangerUP at LT going against Hali.

He won't climb the pocket very well either w/ Poe manhandling Wallace...it's gonna be tough sledding...

I think if he can have a big game it will probably mean he's #2 next year and in 2017 maybe someone else gives him a huge payday and we get a nice comp pick. Jones should have some open guys with that crappy secondary but if I'm the chiefs I'm blitzing every play. If Jones can handle some pressure he should have a big game.

Well Poe has been battling injuries so hopefully he isn't at full speed/strength.

I think if he plays very well tomorrow he'll become trade bait in 2016. Of course that's a huge IF, not counting any chicken before they'are hatched

I don't see it. If he [lays good they will just resign him to be their backup.

If he plays good, he'll become a free agent and sign with some team that has a crappy starter that he might have a chance to beat out. Only guys who know they don't have what it takes to start will resign themselves to being a backup when they're as young as Jones (Alex Van Pelt). If he shines, he'll look to take a shot at becoming a starter somewhere, after his rookie deal is done.

Sure he will, but someone will have to sign him. I don't think teams will be lining up waiting to sign him off of less than 2 games of work. Could it happen? Sure, but I just don't think it will. Amazing the way everyone's line of thinking went. Cut Landry to trade him for a draft pick ...or he will sign to be a starter somewhere. Well he could go 20 of 20 for 500 yds and 7 TD's...I guess it could happen. I just see him playing average to above average....I actually should say I hope that is what he does tomorrow.

If Tamba doesn't play, that'll be huge for Landry. Could be the difference between a good game and bad game for him

From Adam Schefter's Twitter........

"Steelers HC Mike Tomlin is waiting until the last possible minute to determine whether Ben Roethlisberger will play today vs. KC, per source"

I think 999.999999 percent wanted him cut before preseason. Let us be fair he looked like a steaming pile of ****. But in preseason his play gradually started to improve. And credit the Steelers for being patient with him.

It is one of those we are glad to be wrong....

Cracks me up how often people flip flop on players. Look, I like Landry Jones because today he is our starting QB and we need a win. Make no mistake though, the guy has been flat out awful in the past and just because he put one good half of football together at home does not mean he will repeat it on the road against a good pass rush. This will be a very difficult win for the Steelers and it would not surprise me in the least to see Jones absolutely stink up the joint.

What?!!!!! You saying we might not get that #1 pick for him next year?

Ben is officially inactive. Landry will start.

Inactive? I really didn't expect Ben to start, just serve as a back up if needed. Oh well...I just hope Ben's knee didn't swell up any. It's your time to shine, Landry! Go get 'em....

1 half in and the INT Aside, he hasn't looked terribad... he had 3 ugly throws, but a couple bad drops too... mostly he is handcuffed by the playcalling... he still doesn't do progressions well...

I agree with the play-calling. Should've had more short pass plays in the gameplan a lot like the nice slant play early in the game when they got 3 points.

Back to life, back to reality. Landry was mediocre, at best. Still, I agree, the play calling and personnel decisions were suspect. Yet another loss for Coach Shades to an opposing team with a garbage record.

I don't think landry was terrible, but he was not great either. He had a couple drops and the one Int was not really his fault. I don't know why we did not use Heath at all and the slants seemed to be there.

I didn't like the way the game was called either, too many passes downfield. But I think our defense really let us down today.

Bell finished the game with only 17 carries also. And a few that came on 2nd and long after an incomplete pass on 1st down. You would think it was Bell who was making his first ever start.

Just overall a really weak game plan for a team that has all these "weapons" on offense. Why did it take so long to get #10 involved. Where was Heath's number. WTF on the second 4th down try? I just don't understand the play calling.

My biggest issue in the beginning of the game which set the table early on was when on every third and short we took Bell out and put Williams in. Why? Bell just might be the best RB in the game on third and short.

And the 4th and 1 attempt, Bell looked frustrated when he got yanked from the game. And rightly so, since he's proven in the past he can deliver in those clutch situations. But no, we give it to Williams and we fail.

I didn't get it at all either. Bell is terrific catching the ball out of the backfield, so on 3rd down, let's throw it to Williams. It's the classic case of overthinking.
