Let's take a few mins

And through all of the crash and burning, the fans for the most part haven't been calling for Harbs dismissal. That team is abysmal, Flacco plays like **** earning 100M, the defense cant stop anyone. They very well may lose 10 or 11 games this season. They've mailed it in.... But their sticking by their coach. Interesting.

And Harbs is considered by some in this forum to be far and away a superior coach to Mike T.

*historical note...when we started 0-4 2 years ago, this team didn't quit on Mike. At seasons end we were in the hunt for a playoff spot. Im interested to see what happens after the Ratbirds get lit up next Monday by the Cards....wonder if they'll quit on John. They may already have.
 
This is a team that, like ours, builds and reloads with the draft. 2008 was their last good draft, netting Flacco in the first and Rice in the second. From 2009 to 2014, they only drafted one pro bowler, and that was CJ Mosley from last year. One Pro Bowler since 2009 will derail a team that is paying for Flacco's inflated contract (and Ray Rice's 9mil of dead money this year). The way they are currently built, I expect them to be poor for a couple years now due to a lack of talent.

Want to know Joe's cap numbers for the upcoming years:
2016 $28.5M
2017 $31.5M
2018 $24.75M

Ben by contrast is
2016 $23.95
2017 $18.2
2018 $23.2
2019 $23.2

If Landry was our QB for that game, I truly believe we win. I'm not saying he would have lit it up but I think he would have made a few throws to help win the game.

Setting aside the QB situation, all the Steelers needed was a non-liquored-up kicker.

That loss was squarly on Scobee,AB and some very questionable playcalling. Two missed kicks, no attempt for a game winner because of that and AB dropping a TD pass from Vick.

Boom, done! We should have won that game 30- 17.

You can't forget not giving the ball to our best player on four short yardage plays.
 
If "ifs" and "buts" were dollar bills, I'd be a millionaire.
I think we all knew this day was coming for the Ratbirds. Flacco sucked up a lot of the cap money and now with Suggs on IR they're in cap hell and can't sign anyone worth a ****.

Not so fast my friend. It appears that the villagers are starting to get restless.

I said this last year, which was probably too early. But with us facing a 1-15 or 2-14 season. Drastic changes are needed.


1) We have a conservative offense - for no reason.

Flacco excels when he is slinging it...its been obvious for too years...once we go into *Oh ***** we need points mode...Flacco delivers. We fail to adjust to our personnel

2) Our defense is too conservative, Pees has been awful since day one. We are predictable. Harbs clearly hasnt cared for years.

3) Harbs never fires his buddies... Cam Cameron, Pees...etc..

4) We are constantly outcoached... (bad clock management, we dont adjust in game or week to week)

5) We are undisciplined... When we had Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, we had a lot of penalties... but our defense was viewed as *aggressive, intimidating and a bully* ... Now we are soft passive and just suck.... And the penalties are still there... I didnt look at the stats, they may be worse.

6) I truly think He has lost the locker room based on how we play every week


I think Trestman and Flacco can do good together as they have shown later in games...
But we refuse to get flacco any WR talent... Ozzie/Harb ?? IDK

We are in full rebuild mode on defense...I dont think this is a quick turnaround next year

Taken from a thread about firing Harbs at the forum linked in hcmd's post above. Sounds pretty similar to some of the pablum spouted here on a regular basis ... Even when we're winning.
