Since when is a division won after week 5

Or 4 for that matter. Really tired of hearing the media and Bengal fans claiming the division already. Hope it bites them in the ***.

The Bengals are the 'team dujour" again this year. Their rectum will tighten up after the Steelers beat them the first time to draw within one of the division lead. :eagerness:

Ten year anniversary of them taking the division and getting the smackdown in the playoffs from us.....I wouldnt mind a repeat performance

Assuming the Bengals fade again, as they tend to do... How will Marvin fare in the off-season.

Who has Cincy even played? Oak, Kan, Bal, SD, and an imploding SEA.

They'll have their hands full with our front 7, Ben healthy, LeVeon being the man, and the Quadruplets at WR.

All other things being equal, I say we win the division if we sweep Cincy. A likely outcome if we're healthy.

The Steelers match up well against them evident with the two convincing wins last year. This year, we're even better and will knock them down a peg when we meet them in Pittsburgh on Nov 1st.

Marvin will be fine. He works for cheap which is more important to Mike Brown than winning games or playoffs.

If there's anything we learn from the NFL year after year, it's that teams who appear to be playing peak football early on almost always come back down to earth (unless they're cheating and/or have a HOF QB in his prime)

Weren't the Texans 11-1 a few years ago? Lost 3 of their last 4, didn't even make it to the AFC Championship Game. The point is - you don't want to be the team who peaks in the beginning of the season. You want to peak in late December to get rolling into the playoffs.

We will punch those ***** cats in the mouth in due time....consider them fools gold for now.

Realistically we will be 3-3 while cincy will be 6-0 after next week. With the way our offense is playing with Vick it will be real tough sledding against AZ. Obviously a healthy ben will help, but cincy will give us matchup problems w/ green and eifert. I do not know how/why everyone is discounting the bengals. They are a solid team this year. Also our offense has not shown its great yet. For all its potential they **** the bed against the Pats. Played well against the 49ers and were mightily struggling against the Rams even before Ben got hurt. So even when Ben gets back its definitely no given they will light it up...

I'll never be scared of the Bengals. With a healthy Ben, I think we can beat them twice especially if the defense keeps improving and no more injuries.

Marv gets a pass because he took a team that was basically garbage for 20 years (at one point they had a 10 year record of the worst winning percentage in all of professional sports) and turned them into a consistent team, and playoff contender. They were hot garbage before Marv. So I think he's safe for awhile, provided they stay above 500.

just remember...

1975 season: Steelers win the superbowl
1985 season: meh the bears were entertaining I guess
1995 season: Steelers played in the superbowl
2005 season: Steelers win the superbowl
2015 season... I like our chances

So, you are predicting an entertaining Bears Superbowl?

We'll know when the year comes that Marvin's contract doesn't get extended. Mike Brown would never ever EVER fire Marvin while he was under contract and have to pay two head coaches. He is that cheap. If Marvin got a three year extension and went 0-16 each of the first two years his job would be totally safe.

I'm not sure where you get "**** the bed" against the Patriots. Two missed FG's by Scobee and a toe touching the sideline changed that game COMPLETELY! We were moving the ball on them easily, then Haley got cute.

I can't ever in my 49 years on this planet ever remember sitting down and worry the Steelers were going to lose to the Bengals going into a game....ever. I would rather play a 16-0 Bengal team in the playoffs in Cincy than a 9-7 Pats or Bronco team in Pittsburgh anytime.

I think when we play the bengals, we will be at full stregnth and the bengals will have there hands full. Redhead vs Ben, advantage steelers. Bell is a plus, we have more better receivers than they do. "D" , if a wash in today's nfl, we still have advantage. As usual, I stick with MY Steelers, all the way.!!!
