Bryant is back..or is he?

Other than playing at Penn State, what do people see in James? Serious question.

He's 6'7 and athletic for that size. He's a much better blocker than most TEs coming out of college. He's strong and has a frame to get bigger. He has upside as a receiver and a redzone target. He had a great freshman year in O'Brien's pro offense then in he soph and junior years he had to block more. He has experience lining up in the backfield as an H back and handled Ohio State's Joey Bosa one on one for much of the game. Bosa will likely be a top 10, maybe top 5 pick in the draft.

James was only 20 when drafted. He has a lot of upside to be a complete TE and there aren't many of those in college. Most are either blockers or receivers. Steelers always want the complete TE and James was one of the best prospects for that.

Bryant is playing Monday. He's practicing.

I know it's "The Depot", but they (citing some reporter) say he's NOT practiced/practicing and the Steelers' roster exemption doesn't expire until next Thursday.

Bottom part of the "injury report" article.

Whether Bryant will be active for Monday night’s game against the Chargers remains to be seen, but he kept in shape during his time away from the team and has come back with a renewed attitude that was evident on the practice field. “We have a lot of work to do this week in practice to get ready for Monday,” said Bryant. “We’re going to keep developing our chemistry and just make sure we are ready on Monday…whatever they need me to do, I’m here to help.”

I saw this morning that he was "sore" after practice.

I vote Archer, hands down the weakest of all other than Cam but with McCullers out, Cam needs a rain check this time.

when suspended they cant work out with the team I thought. So he may need some time?

He is no longer suspended, has been with the team in full capacity for a week now. We currently have a roster exemption for him that expires next tuesday or, if they decided to dress him, at 4pm EST Monday.

He had not practiced since Monday and brings said he will not play

The other MB post has has links to stories with him having knee concerns. He's probably out.
