Why is Cam thomas on this Football Team?

I literally have no idea what game you are watching... when Heyward is singled he is a force... when he is doubled its because out NT isn't in need of one... if both of those guys are in need of a doubleteam, like the 3/4 plan calls for, that frees up a LB to wreck havoc...

Double teamed tripled ....whatever...For $10 mill he better be making plays. if you like 7 tackle games...3 another....or whatever then fine. I want splash plays for the money makes. That's what games I am watching. Way over paid for what he does week in and week out. Do I like him? Sure, but not at his price tag I don't.
 
They after that game must give Cam T reps to LD Walton, its not possible he can be worse than thomas

Aaron smith was one of the best defensive ends in his era and you barely noticed him... if you want sexy flashy big time plays don't watch 3/4 defensive linemen. mostly they are there to open up the linebackers

Heyward is no A. Smith. That is laughable to compare the 2 at this point or if ever. And that is why you don't pay them $10 mill unless they are named Watt.Then you pay him $10 mill and a little more.

You obviously don't have an appreciation of market value at the position.
 
I believe he was in the top 5 or 10 at DE's ....all DE's. Tuitt is playing at a higher level now. What will you be willing to pay him in a few years? Watt money?
 
Cam Thomas is garbage. He has no business being on this team

That is true to a point but Smith played in a 2-gap while Butler has these guys playing mostly a 1-gap this year. In this style 'D' the DL can shoot gaps and pressure the QB's instead of trying to occupy 2 OLineman for the LBers. This 'D' is ALL about gap integrity, I think that's why we are still allowing some longer runs, hopefully that will get better with time.

Heyward IMO is playing solid football, especially compared to McClendon who I think is out of position in the middle.
