Gotta accept the fact our team lost. At the end of the day its just a football game my friend. I understand being a passionate fan. That's what makes the Steelers an iconic team. But it is what it is. Can't change it
Look, I share the vitriol at Tomlin, who coached like this was a meaningless game on Madden16, but I am indeed enraged at Scoobee. The Steelers are 2-2. If Shitbag is an average NFL kicker, the Steelers are 3-1. If Shitbag is an above-average kicker, the Steelers have a legitimate chance at being 4-0.
So **** Josh *******, douchebag, buttnozzle Scoobee, with a rusty drain pipe covered in barbed wire.

Oh I get that. But who brought Scobee in and used a draft pick to do it? And who waited till OT of a divisional game to decide that he's given up on his "boy." The Scobee mess is covered in Tomlin stink.

Tomlin is like a chess player incapable of thinking more than 1 move into the future.
We had 3rd and short which should have been a sure run in a clock kill mode anticipating 4 down territory if the play fails to gain 2.
Let Haley call a pass setting up 4th and 2 instead of what should have been a converted 3rd down run, or a run leaving 4th and less than a yard. Absolutely no communication between Tomlin and Haley on the game flow, but who needs communication when cool shades can only think 1 move at a time...UGH.
The situational play calls and lack of strategic clock use were appalling. Even in turtle mode we gave this game away at least 3 times, and that is before factoring in the nearly useless Scobee

1. Lost starting Center
2. Lost starting kicker and backup kicker and unfortunately spent future draft picks on a POOR kicker
3. Lost starting QB
4. Have young D still learning it's way.

Coaching or whatever but execution is why we ended up losing. Penalties on the o line, Scoobee missing 2 FG's, and even AB missing an easy TD catch (that he easily catches 9 out of 10 times) lost the game, period, the end.

If you watch the 4 and 2 call if Vick turns it up sooner he may get the first easily.

I think we can all agree now that Ben is the reason this offense is good. Haley is a terrible play caller when someone isn't in there calling plays for him. How many 5-7 step drops did we see and by the time Vick gets his feet set, there's someone in his face. Yet we kept doing it over and over again. It was just like 3 seasons ago when Ben was back there getting hammered play after play because we'd run these stupid slow developing plays from under center. It's just not what Vick or our Oline or even Ben is good at. Also, why did we not try at least 1 screen to Brown and let him go to work? Brown is one of the best playmakers in the league so get him the ball any way you can. This also gets the ball out quickly to prevent getting sacked.
Also, did we ever split Bell out as a WR where he can be extremely dangerous? It's like the entire playbook of what was working so far was scrapped and it was back to the same old BS.
Guys get paid millions of dollars as coaches to make these decisions? Sign me up.
On a positive note, Butler pulled out some great blitzes and THAT'S what a good coordinator does..give them things they've never seen before. One directly led to an interception and we tied for sacking Flacco the most times in 1 game during his career. Props to Butler for drawing up those blitzes.
Also, did we ever split Bell out as a WR where he can be extremely dangerous? It's like the entire playbook of what was working so far was scrapped and it was back to the same old BS.

Lots of blame but if one of those three plays that should have worked, did work, we win the game. AB's drop would have made the score 27-7 about half way through the 3rd quarter. That probably would have ended the game right there. It was a HUGE drop by arguably our best player. No excuse for it.

Tomlin has never measured up in my judgment. I often feel equal parts sad for the organization and angry at its unwillingness to deal with it. I don't enjoy watching the Steelers because of it and I've been a diehard fan for the past 42 years.
Tomlin, in my evaluation, is equal parts lack of knowledge and lack of intellect, with a healthy dose of nonsense sprinkled on top.

Yep. I'm not even being reactionary, impulsive, whatever. Art and Colbert need to seriously consider making a change here. Tomlin (with some help from Scobee, obviously) lost us this game. Period
What is this like the 5th or 6th loss to a winless team in the last 3+ seasons? I think in every season, except last year's, that the Steelers lost to a winless team under Coach Tomlin they failed to make the playoffs. Let's hope that trend doesn't continue.

It's always on execution because if every play works then you would score on every play right? But when you break down a game you have to look at your players and put them in the best possible position to win because they can't win every single time. This is coaching and this is why the Steelers lost. They take a guy who doesn't know the offense well and struggles with accuracy and make him throw across his body across the field to a 5'10 WR. That's a coaching issue because Vick is left handed and Brown is not a tall WR. Yes if executed properly it works but so does EVERY play. It didn't work because it had a low chance of success. Same with Vick running on the left side. He hasn't play much, doesn't know how the OL blocks, isn't up to game speed yet, probably isn't in the best playing shape AND you have the best RB in the NFL who has already rushed for 150 yards. WTF are they doing? That play has a low chance to work while running Bell has a much higher probability of working...
That's on the coaches and Tomlin specifically because he is the HC.

This game now ranks right behind the 94 afc championship game against the Chargers as the most depressing game I've ever witnessed.
I dont get how anyone can blame Vick. Im no fan of the cat, but last night is nowhere on his shoulders. This is poor planning. Period.
