We had a roster exemption until 4pm Wednesday for Bell returning to the team. Now someone must be cut today. Who do you think it will be?

I believe there are 5 viable options. I do not think Will Johnson is an option due to his versatility, but these are my options:

Easy call. Should be Dri Archer. He doesn't even go in as a mop up at the end of the game at running back and can't crack the top 5 at receiver with Bryant on suspension. Brown still returns the punts. So what is he. Designated kick returner? Maybe he could be something for someone else, but if they haven't found a role for him here then why shouldn't he at least get to try.

Murphy probably stays until Bryant comes back, I think is the end of the road for dri

One of the defensive ends

I say Nix, because if Williams is coming in for short yardage, we don't need 2 fullbacks on the roster. Archer is more versatile (not that we use him), but our team seems to reward versatility.

Litos, I agree that Murphy is gone when Bryant returns.

I hope it's Archer, but I still don't think they are ready to admit that mistake. It'll probably be Nix or Toddman.

Johnson or Dri

Still don't understand this. 1) What has Todman shown in the four plays he was on the field? 1 rush for 11 yards? 2) Why would anyone risk their multimillion dollar business to avoid embarrassing a coach who doesn't even have the power to pick is own OC and DC?

Will more than likely be Nix. Should be Archer. Murphy goes down to the PS if/once he clears waivers in Week 5.

I hope it's not Todman. I'm willing to bet he's a better kick returner than Archer as well as practically everything else.

I think it's about his NFL resume more than what has he done here, there's a reason why they signed him:

2013 Jacksonville Jaguars 16 2 76 256 3.4 33 2 14 116 8.3 30 1 --

Will Johnson is a legitimate possibility. Vs the 49ers Will Johnson had 5 offensive snaps and 11 special teams snaps. Nix had 8 offensive snaps and 10 special teams snaps. He's already taking snaps away from Johnson, so I'm thinking Nix is earning his keep. Johnson could be on his way out, or it could be Archer who had 4 special teams snaps and that's it. Even Toddman got more work than Archer, 4 offensive snaps, 10 special teams snaps. It's not going to be Landry Jones, but it could be one of the DE's that hasn't dressed yet.

Maybe, but he didn't get on the offensive field until garbage time for 4 plays and this is his 4th team in 4 years. There is a reason for that, too. And a reason they drafted Archer. and a reason blahblahblah.

My point is, no one has seen much from either on the field, so, from what has shown on the field, there isn't much difference.

I think the bigger sign is that Archer hasn't gotten hardly any touches this season. There may be reasons other than ability, but we don't know what reasons there are. It doesn't look good for Archer, by any means.

Special teams play may be what keeps Nix over Archer.

I hope Archer but I think for some dumb reason he sticks around a little longer.

Nix

Let it be known that I don't have a problem with any of those guys getting cut. Furthermore, I don't think the Rooneys care about embarrassing Tomlin if they already pick and choose his coordinators for him. When it comes to Archer, they like him for some reason and I don't think they are ready to cut bait with him even though I think they should.

Sorry to freak all.....I meant Will Johnson, not D. Williams.
