For newbies, this is something I post every Monday during the season. I post a Tomlinism and you try to guess how many times he will say it in the Tuesday presser. I DVR it so if I don't catch it live on the radio I'll get it later at home. "Obviously" became overused so instead of being a word of the week we have the weekly "obviously" over/under. There tend to be more "obviouslys" after a loss than a win.

The MT Word of the Week for week 2 is:

"Splash plays"

The "obviously" over/under for week 2 is 15.

Under at 8, obviously.

thank you for your time and effort on doing this Ron, appreciate it....

Salute the nation

I'm going 10.

"Above the line" is going to be used a lot this week as well as "responded" and how it relates to "adversity".

"Above the neck" was a new one in the preseason so that is obviously a word with growing pedigree and coming into its own above the line after it popped up from under a stone back at the lab, if you will, obviously.

"Somewhere in between" - MT uses this to describe the Steelers, saying that the team is better than week 1 and probably not as good as week 2. I am saying 3 times.

I thought now that you completed your education you'd get on with your life's work. But maybe it is ridiculing Tomlin. For a change in scene you might check the Ryan presser and see how an eloquent Irishman explains how he handled Brady, Gronk, and Edelman so much better than the Steelers.

I didn't see Rex's presser but I heard it was epic.
BTW, not ridiculing Tomlin, just having fun.

Obx, lighten up. If we can't tease the crap out of Tomlin, what's the point of living? Obviously?

I'm saying 4 on "Splash Plays" and I'll take the under on "Obviously" and I'm betting on the under with Splash Plays because "Popcorn" is going to rear it's ugly little head!

Under, obviously. I'll go with 5 "splash plays". My new favorite Tomlinism is "if you will".

Defense went above the line obviously. Some of our players showed glimpses of splash plays if you will. We will obviously build upon our win and go back to the lab. We will continue to get better above the line obviously

I started this when they were going 8-8 two years in a row and there wasn't much to look forward to each week.

We did get a popcorn after the last preseason game so it is staying in shape and ready to be the next word up, if you will.

I would give the word of the week as Steeler football, obviously.

Under on the obviously, with above the line beating out splash plays.

I am going out on a limb and bring back pedigree at least 1 time and some form of "these men" as in these men have worked hard and blah blah has the pedigree...

I'll take the under on "obvoiusly".
No "popcorn" this week
"above the line" appearance
agree with "splash plays"
"arrow pointing up" will make an appearance too

so a shitload of clichés coming up, obviously

I have a feeling that Coach will be in a good mood and the Tomlinisms will be flowing freely.

Because these men know the standard is the standard

Gonna say we here " above the shoulders" a few times.

Are you concerned at all with Josh Scobee?
" obviously you would like to see him make those kicks but no not overly concerned"

Umm I really liked the effort from our guys today. There was no quit.
I thought execution could have been better on some things.
Umm The mental pre snap penalties. Above the shoulder pads if you will
Need cleaned up.

Mike Mitchell & Will Allen seemed to be more engaged in the game.

" were not surprised to see those two do that."

" Obviously they are two guys with proven pedigrees with a lot of smarts above the shoulder pads"

We like where we're at as far as commitment from the guys. Umm we have a lot to work on to get better
Umm more consistent if you will. We will do just that starting this week in preparing for our next formidable opponent.

Umm over 20 times at least to. That's a gimme

You sound like you just found out someone named Ron has been ******* your wife better than you.
