Week 2 _________ thread - hi

yeah yeah yeaahhhh

Ben was on fire
Antonio 190 + yards
D Williams with 3 TDs
Dupree is a keeper
Somebody cloned Polamalu at LBer, Shazier played with passion.
That P with nice hang time (hey STs is a part of the game)
Heyward with a nice showing.
Timmons with a quiet productive tackling day.
Wheaton with a few nice looking grabs.
Big Dan with some big pushes at NT.
And Bey picking up some slack with Bryant out. I was impressed with his catches...

Oh I almost forgot with Dupree getting so many looks early. Maybe we are seeing a switch at defensive coaching philosophies. DL was known to not play rookies on D..... Early in the year, but some good thing to like.........

It was good collective game on all 3 phases. Obviously we got some more game tape on different players. Splash plays were kept at a minimum. We still need to get better at getting the defense off on 3rd down...

The pressure from the linebackers was there today. They were in Kap's face the majority of the game. Cannot rave enough about the offense. Keep Ben healthy and they will go far

Offense was firing on all cylinders even with Harold and Kumar stuck back at White Castle.
Defense looked better although San Fran shot themselves in the foot several times too.
It's a good thing we have 2 point conversion plays that work.
I think we have a new long-term punter. 62 f'n yards. Ba-da-bing.
Kick coverage looked good.

No pom pom shaking just was fun to watch some aggressive play on both sides of ball and some good hard hitting.

Thrilled with our performance but we also played a West coast team coming East on a short week's rest and it sure showed!

yeap, that's not the spirit of the Pom Pom thread, it's highlighting a clusterfuck

Perhaps, but I find it easier to cheer after a win.

That is the spirit of my pompom thread.

I expected SF to be a cluster this year, but was surprised by their showing last week. I was most impressed with Shazier in open field 1 on 1 on Kap bringing him down again and again in a matchup that would scare every DC in the league.

I think we are now seeing the Shazier of last preseason.

Thinking less more comfy with the D, being able to play without thinking so much.

I like what I see from him and Dupree in the beginning of their young football career.

Like was said previously, the hitting! was great today, need more going forward.
Want the nasty D back, the feared D.

someone might even think about doing the anti-pom pom thread to ***** after a win, even a beat down like today

Yeah but winners get wings

Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and **** the prom queen.

Negatives....

We didn't score 100 points...
Ben missed 6 of his passes...
The 49rs brushed ben a few times...
We might have to bench a RB who is second in the league in rushing...
Antonio is only 50 yards ahead in receiving yardage....
Shazier isn't leading the league in tackles...
We are as bad as the Browns record wise....

What a great punting game. I'm geeked here. We no longer have a punter that destroys his own ACLs while kicking, or a punter that kicks the ground before the ball. This kid had a perfect game. 3 punts, 2 inside the 20, and the other was a field flipping 60+ yarder from the end zone that put SF on their 35! Awesome!!

That 62 yarder was a thing of beauty :,)
