Wow, that's a lot of players, here's my thoughts up top. Look for a lot of PS players from this year to be on the roster next year. Chick for Garvin, Grant for Blake, Golsen for Gay, Dangerfield for Will Allen. I like Phillips, but I like Nelson better.

Cope,

2017 is tough as well. Bell, Timmons, Miller, Decastro and Wheaton.

*** The Steelers must do better in the draft. We need to draft starter level players in rounds 2-4. *** One strategy, and we might have to take it since our cap situation is terrible is to let Beachum and Gay walk, and hope for 3rd round compensatory picks to re-load in the 2016 draft. This would preserve a lot of cap space for 2017. That and hope Alejandro Villanueva can start at LT or RT!

DeCastro will cost 8 millions against the cap next season, he's definitly getting an extension lowering his cap hit

3 Penalties and a sack in the first game is not what I call a good performance on the field. I am 100% ok with having Beachum play his 1.5 million dollar salary this year then bumping it up to 10 million next year via the tag. That would be less than a 6 million average for this and next year. If Beachum is still playing hardball come draft time I say draft a tackle early and see how they progress in camp. If you can't get a deal done you have a guy waiting in the wings. I don't want to overpay a guy just to have a guy. Beachum is an OK LT, not elite, not great, probably not even good by many teams standards. He is a very serviceable LT. Does that warrant a huge contract? HELL NO! Let his *** walk and take the comp pick before over spending on him. If he wants a 5-6 maybe 7 million dollar a year deal well that is probably what he is worth. If he wanted 7 million a year I am fine with making him earn in this year at 1.5 million with no guarantees if he wanted 5-6 million we should have paid him.

Beachum widely graded out as one of the best LTs in the league in 2014. He allegedly had this terrible game against the Patriots, yet the pass protection was strong pretty much all night. He must have been doing something right.

Who the hell honestly trusts Tombert to find someone better, given how they went into seasons starting the likes Scott and Adams at the position and traded for Levi Brown with Beachum on the roster?

Legursky can't start, don't be silly. We will prod move DeCastro to LG and sign a vet RG or just draft a solid LG

Why anyone is worrying about the salary cap status of next season right now is insane. The cap will go up along with restructured contracts and so on and so forth. Were not in salary cap hell anymore. Woodley and Polamalu come off the books too.

Because Coach is "planning" his next 1000 threads for next year...

I think we need to have a significant season, because 2016 and 2017 will feature years where we bleed quality free agents and replace them with back up or rookies. Beachum is likely gone.

True on Tombert but I believe Beachums progression has been due to Munchak not Tombert. Beachum had one good season but where does he rank so far this year? I'd assume 3 penalties and a sack didn't bode well for him.

How good is this "youth" guy Coach? Have you scouted him personally?

Glad Coach isn't the GM, cat has half the team leaving via free agency. lol
