Bud Dupree should be starting over Moats because Moat has nothing! I'll take Dupree over Moats despite a mistake here or there. He plays the game with a mean streak and bad intentions.....He plays the game the way a Steelers LB'er should play!

Sammie Coates needs to be active especially for the next three games without Bryant! DHB & Tyler Murphy are no where near as good as Coates as a receiver. We need Coates to help stretch the field plus create mismatches on Defense. Tomlin said they drafted Coates because they knew about Bryant's pending suspension.....Someone needs to tell Tomlin he needs to not deactivate Coates on game day like he did today.

Antwon Blake needs to learn how to tackle. Four missed tackles was a pathetic effort. Worst performance by a Steeler Defender tonight although Cortez Allen was a close second with three missed tackles.

Jarvis Jones still sucks! El Matador had two missed tackles "OLE" instead of squaring up the guy and laying wood he tries to arm tackle by diving to the side of the ball carrier. If that's solid LB'er play someone explain it to me. They better cut his *** next year! He is complete garbage!

Steve McClendon should be cut the guy was getting pushed all over the place at NT. Next man up.....Caushaud Lyons? Cam Thomas was far better than McClendon tonight!

Lawrence Timmons, has been, is and always will be soft! With the rich tradition of the Steelers LB'ers he's not even in the ballpark of what I'll call the Standard for Steeler LB'ers.

Shame on Will Allen for not finishing the mother ****** for his career by crashing down and into Brady's knees on that sack! He would have catapulted himself to the pinnacle of All-Time Steeler greats with that cheap shot on Marcia!

Josh Scobee two missed FG's really ****** us...they need to look for a more consistent kicker! Jeff Reed anyone?

Steelers O-line....Cmon man First and Goal from the 1 yard line and you can't punch it in with all the weapons? For peeps sake why didn't they pitch it to Williams he was getting around the edge all night!

I knew when Mitchell forced the fumble and Gronk fell on it it just wasn't in the cards tonight for the Steelers.

I don't feel like the sky is falling after the loss tonight but Tomlin needs to make some changes and they've gotta get the fundamentals on Defense down....twice they had 10 guys on the field on Defense. PATHETIC!

Gonna be a scary three games without Bryant if Coates doesn't at least get some reps.

On the positive side Deangelo Williams looks like a solid backup to Bell.

Coates needs to be suited up
Boykin should be given a chance
McCullers needs to be a starter
Rob Golden should only be used on special teams. His play at safety was....well not good. Team needs more awareness. Gronk was over that fumble in a heartbeat. Will Allen I believe did not react quick enough

Coates was inactive because:

1. He hasn't shown hands that are any better than DHB's
2. It is alleged that he doesn't have the playbook down
3. He doesn't play Special Teams

Any one of the above is reason enough for him to be inactive. All three in one person? Maybe Coates would be better served improving his game and earning playing time rather than having it handed to him.

Team looks unprepared to start the season as irt always does under Tomlin we are now 6-11 in the 1st four games of the last 4 plus seasons. What do we do in training camp ? We had all offseason to game plan for Gronk and their lack of speed and size at WR, we did nothing and I mean nothing to take anything away from them, typical Tomlin.

I thought Golden was on special teams. Or is he just a DB now?

And as far Coates. Might as well just throw him in the fire. Why not?

Golden does play ST. So does DHB. Coates does not. Given the choice between a veteran WR with troubles catching the ball who plays ST and a rookie WR with troubles catching the ball and understanding the playbook who does not play ST, I guess they decided that DHB was the better option.

ummm ... because he's having trouble with the playbook and his catching ability. Good way to destroy his confidence and end up with another Limas Sweed.

DHB had a decent game. If he would have kept his foot in bounds who knows? And yes Coates still needs to learn. As a fan I want some quick improvement

DHB had a better game than I would have expected. But the bonehead play was crucial.

From what I saw from Coates in the preseason he showed the ability to adjust to the ball in the air and make the catch and also had good awareness of where he was on the field with regards to his feet. DHB on that go route didn't even try to toe tap on the sidelines...he barely got two feet down with plenty of room to make the catch. DHB is terrible!

I'm sorry but Coates can stretch the field on a go route! Any idiot can run it!

NE started an undrafted center, as well as another rookie, and they took our mainstay D'Linemen to school. McClendon could not beat an undrafted rookie center. NE lost like 3 DBS from last year's team, but we played the "I won't score, if you don't score" game with them. We were complete cowards at times on offense. Undisciplined penalties, and a defense running in circles. It was sickening to watch. We have a lot of practice squad material guys on our starting defense. Mitchell, Allen, Allen, Blake, Golden, Timmons and McClendon are all BUMS.

Nothing to be sorry about. I believe that Coates can develop into an excellent receiver. I'd just prefer they not throw him to the wolves until he has tuned his skill set a little. Can't say enough that I don't want them to turn him into another Sweed and based on reports from training camp Coates would get down on himself a little more than the usual when he made a drop or missed an assignment.

My UGA bias kicking. NE undrafted center is pretty legit. At Georgia he showed tons of heart and leadership. In my opinion he was the backbone of that Bulldogs football team. I think he is going to have an amazing NFL career. Too bad he ended up with the pats. Non UGA bias. Jarvis needs to find another profession. NFL linebacker is not panning out as I hoped for him

Don't worry about Sammy Coates. He will be a damn good receiver for us. If you all remember, one Martavis Bryant didn't play for the first 6 or 7 games last year. Sammy will learn quick enough and his hands are not bad. He had some drops in the pre season but I thought he was coming on toward the end. He'll be fine. DHB is no more that a 4'th receiver, period.

The main problem with this defense is quite simple. We play a 3/4 and have no NT. McClendon stinks and was getting pushed around like a rag doll by a rookie. They actually had 3 rookie starters on that OL. I think that's been the problem for three years now ever since Hampton and Hoke retired. We need a damn NT.

He is a first year rookie. McClendon is SUPPOSE to be a seasoned NFL caliber veteran. Again, he is a rookie. We are in a big game like that, and you can not take advantage of two rookies on the OL??? Flip the script, and our OL would have been dog meat.

9 years into his tenure and this team is STILL poorly coached.

Could have waited to pick up a kicker that was cut (Novak) instead of trading for one.

A loss is a loss, but all in all it could have been much worse.

I said it during the game and I'll say it again, Shazier should have been shadowing Gronk no matter where he lined up or went. He has the size and speed to stay with him and could have surely helped eliminate or severely reduce Gronk's impact on the game. Teams do it with a running QB, so why not do it with the best skill player on their team.

I want to agree with you. But I think Gronk is too much for our team to handle. Shazier looked decent yesterday. Stood out on a horrible defense. I still think Gronk would've taken him

Gronk, when hes healthy destroys everybody. Theres not a team in the league that can cover him...too big, too strong and Brady sets him up perfectly with how he works the others into their scheme with Edelman. Hes the best TE in the game and if he remains healthy throughout his career he will be HOF first ballot and break all kinds of records for the position. Im not ashamed to admit we got our *** kicked by the worlds greatest TE...The Un-guardable One. It didn't help that we made two of his catches cakewalks.... We definitely wont be the only team he destroys

Shazier looked good last night. Shot the gaps last night and crunched the RB a few times....Heard nothing from Tuitt. Bud had his first sack but got beat horribly on the long Gronk play....safety was mostly to blame im sure. And Blake....wtf was that ? He got his lunch money snatched all night. Gay looked horrible especially on the rubs which one was an illegal pick.

Thoughts. Tomlin coached teams always look unprepared defensively and make many mental errors and never use good clock management. So last night is reflective of the idiot coach we have.

Most teams at least single cover Gronk. We didn't even do that a few times. You're over stating his dominance. More than 20% of his TDs this season will come from this game.

Ok, the anger has worn off, and I will say this. If the Patriots are the best, we are the 2nd or 3rd best in the league RIGHT NOW. The defense will gel in a few weeks. The offense is unstoppable without Bell and Bryant. I would not be surprised if we went on a huge win streak, starting next week...
