This. Plus if you add in that horrible reverse pass play call on the opening drive that took us out of field goal range and slowed momentum, also took points off the board. Let's just hope this is a building block and we keep improving for the rest of the way.

Interesting thing is that the two most egregious instances of poor clock management occurred because Haley didn't get the play in quick enough and because the players didn't get lined up quick enough.

Chess versus Checkers. They have a coach and qb that recalculate right up to the snap of the ball. The last Gronk TD was a perfect example. That is pure match up. The Steelers can't do that.

Tomlin always has that baffled look on his face too. I'll reserve judgement until week six/seven. If the steelers continue making dumb mistakes. Then I can say I may call for Tomlins head as well. This team has not been the same since being kicked out of the playoffs by Two point Tebow

It's not just the coach. However Tomlin does need to make the team aware of the clock. The team displayed no sense of urgency when needed. Ben and co. Were moving the ball effectively. Just piss poor time management

They got caught up in the same play as the Sea hawks in the SB. They didn't want to leave time on the clock. Would have worked if Heyward Bey could make a pro catch. He sat and waited on the ball. TOOL.

And what exactly makes you think the players aren't aware of the clock??? There is a scoreboard as big as the world right there. It's no huddle Ben is calling the plays. Maybe he should call two in the huddle. And if DHB bends over at the waist and trusts his hands and catches the ball instead of falling to the ground to body catch this issue is moot.

The players should be aware of the clock. But if they are not displaying a sense of urgency. Don't you think the coach should point it out to his players? It's something fixable
