Brady open to one game suspension?

He should get what's coming to him but the way I look at it, I want to beat the Pats with him playing. The way the Steelers looked last weekend I would have to probably put money down on St. Mary's team to win and take the points but you never know how things will turn out.

Plus if he should happen to go down with a season ending injury in Game 1, that would be just reward, and he probably would have stuck with the suspension.

If he loses it is is over. He will never get a full second appeal in the five weeks that are left before his suspension is fully served. If the NFL loses they could appeal, putting him in peril for the more important parts of the season (which is a sword they would hold over him to make a deal of two games right now). They want him to admit that he did it and that will be the sticking point. He knows what that means. My guess is the NFL will lose. They can't win in real court because the evidence is very compelling at a league level, but highly circumstantial and fairly flimsy at a court level. It is heavily based upon "how could he not know, how could he not be involved". Which while completely accurate and true, will never hold up in court. If it did, no organized crime would exist.

It depends... he will file an appeal and ask for an emergency injunction... if the judge totally vacated the ruling he’d have a chance, if he does something stupid like dropping it to 1 or 2 games I don’t think the appellate courts will think he has a good chance of winning if both the judge and the arbitrator had a suspension in the decision. honestly its easier to argue that he will be irreparably harmed by missing games than the league would be waiting for an appeal, so I think he has a shot at it though… I fully expect either side to appeal and for him to play week one….

Your point about it being flimsy in real court is noted, but the evidence isnt the sticking point... its whether the NFL gave him due process. the Judge has extremely limited power to change an arbitrators ruling based on evidence, no matter how circumstancial or flimsy, and they often lose that on appeal when they do it. This case is all about goodells powers per the CBA, not the suspension's legitimacy. The judge is being a blowhard, and he may well give the league a slapdown by trying to change it, but they will appeal and win.

I go back to the starcaps case... the judge totally vacated the suspension there, but both players later lost when the NFL appealed... it just took 3 years of wrangling in the courts. AP will be the same way... the NFL will win that appeal about the time he retires

********** is going to drag this out til he retires.

what ever happens his reputation is ruined everywhere but in Boston where they think he walks on water .. So he can claim his innocence as much as he wants ..

I also heard that he has been having a horrible pre-season .. the balls have too much AIR !!

Nah they just don't start stealing signals till the games matter...lol

In my perfect dream fantasy, Harrison blows through the line on first play from scrimmage and does a complete Theisman on Brady's leg. Utterly horrifying to behold. A leg so unbelievably grotesquely broken that grown men weep and children vomit. Further, through some freakish twist of fate, Brady ends up in a hospital in Cleveland where he strangely contracts a staph infection.

After fighting valiantly to overcome the infection just enough to don the uniform one last time to hobble out onto the field in 2017 for a sad farewell series in a meaningless retirement game, Brady is informed at the last minute that the appeal process is finally completed and in fact, he must then serve his one-game suspension.

Subsequently, Ernie Adams is hit by a bus, Bill Bellicheat is shipped off the Jets where he amasses a 2-15 record the following season (his best over his 3 year contract with the Jets,) before he is released and becomes a street bum.

Brady, suffering from arthritis and dementia brought on by syphilis, attempts to break into broadcasting but is ultimately replaced by a more eloquent Emmit Smith. Giselle Bundchen announces that the children Tom Brady thought were his were actually genetically engineered products of a lesbian joining between herself and Christie Brinkley. Tom, finds solace in the arms of Billy Joel, who ironically gave him the syphilis in the first place... irony is cruel, but it's cyclical.

And at last I can find some semblance of peace.

I just want some jaded fan who is a private investigator to secretly bug Brady's headset and or the Pats locker room and actually tape what they are saying then put it up on the net... it would please me to no extent.
