Trent Richardson

Sooo the guy who has busted off of that many rosters is the third string RB solution? At this point there are scrubs with more nfl ability than richardson... something is seriously off with that dude.

That Richardson can't make it in the NFL is a real surprise to me...I honestly thought he'd be a really good back in the NFL given his size and speed.

he had an ok year behind cleavelands beast line his first year, but they bailed on him asap after his injury... he just isnt a good NFL back

That was the knock on him, no vision at all, no instincts... have you ever seen a player drafted that high moved that quickly to another team... and then for that team and the next after that to both want nothing to do with him so quickly

Monte Ball may get the ax, I would grab him. Thing is though, once Bell comes back Harris will get released. The FO considers Archer the 3rd rb.

"I'm not overwhelmed with it," Brown said of the prospect that his former team, the Cleveland Browns, could select Richardson. "The problem is that he's ordinary. I think he's ordinary."

Jim Brown called this one years ago. Lets move on and scout the next round of waiver wire releases for a quality interior lineman and perhaps a decent safety prospect.

stick a fork in him. He's done!

I was definitely wrong on him when the Stains dealt him. He's done.

Not sure why you think his failure at Indianapolis is the point of my post. My point was that coming out of college, given his size and speed (and success at Alabama)...I thought he'd be a good back...and I'm not the only one.

The first hint that you were wrong should have come when the browns drafted him... they are like a bust seeking missle in the first round.....

Like his train of thought should have been:

1.) Cleveland Browns select
2.) A running back in the top 3 picks

If you have no information on a player and never watched his tape, BUT you aware of #1, you can expect 8/10 times that the player will flame out.

If you have no information on a player and never watched his tape, BUT both factors above are true, you can expect 9/10 time that the player will flame out.

I saw every game of Trent Richardson's college career...

College aint the pros. Cleveland loves drafting guys who were great college guys but absolutely not NFL material... Richardson is an utter flame out. he may not even get a look elsewhere. he couldn't make the first cut on a 3 win team with a guaranteed contract in play. they didn't even save money cutting him... the Ryan leaf of running backs....

when the Oakland raiders make you a part of their first cuts, it might be time to head north of the border

Not a chance. I'm not just saying this because he was recently cut by a perennially bad team - he is just a bad NFL RB and it's been obvious since day 1

Happens a lot... a guy excels down where playing in the right system or behind a talented team or playing against subpar players that dot college teams rosters lets a guy look great, and in the pros where guys in backup roles are just all college all star material they cant quite cut it. 50% of first rounders are flame-outs, and that is much higher for the Browns...

All he did at Bama was run straight through gaping holes.

Rg3 and Trent can hang out together and tell stories from years ago
