Stuck home sick today with nothing to do.
Have been watching a ton of old Steeler games.
I know this has been mentioned before, but we were so lucky to have Ben drop to us at 11.
Thankfully the qb needy browns did a very browns thing and of course went TE.
I won't post a video as it is super easy to go to YouTube and find one you enjoy.
I focused on his pump fakes today.
Has to be the best in NFL at pump fakes. The amount of times he did so in his career was amazing.

I encourage everyone to go watch videos of how great he actually was.

What could have been if cowher had stayed

Ben, Troy, Hines, Bettis, Smith and Farrior were the guys who epitomized Steelers football for me. Hardnosed, tough, and incredibly talented.

The media will never recognize how good Roethlisberger was, but I think we all know and were lucky to watch him in the black and gold for so long. The longer he's been retired, the more you realize how important he was to the 10+ years of success, particularly how he elevated the players around him.

Ben would pump fake and it could pull you out of your chair at home. Just think what it did to LB's and DB's on the field.
The best pump fake in the history of the game.

Those were the days....

Ben did some very amazing things through-out his career.

A sure sack was never a given, always kept an eye down field, had the arm to make every throw +.

Never throwing fellow team mates under the bus, took the blame wether it was him or not.

Once he realized he needed a life change, he became an even better player (and actually changed his life outlook)

I watch his videos all the time, games and the SOLID players of that era all combined to make
the Steelers relevant for so long.

Truly a blessing for us fans.!!!

He played the position like no other NFL QB I ever witnessed..

Add in that he never got “special” consideration from the officiating or the league, and by league I’m talking the Rog.

Brady / Manning / breeze / Mahomes / Eli / Flaco / amongst many more all got special protection that Ben NEVER got.

Ben also led MAJIC when he would QB a come from behind win, something he did 7 times his last season playing (keep in mind he had one of the worse offensive lines to work behind) (ALSO, I think he holds the NFL record for most come from behind wins)

Truly a blessing

Ben had the winners gene, no matter how ugly it got or how bad he looked at times. You could always count on him pulling a rabbit out of his hat in crunchtime. If it were not for his shoestring tackle vs Indy or his heroic clutch drive and TD to Holmes, Steelers would not have won those two superbowls. People think defense when they think of Steelers but without Ben the Great Defenses during his run would all but be forgotten.
Statistically there are much better QB but to this day he is one of the most clutch QB to ever walk into an NFL stadium.
13-0 as a rookie Take the long road to the superbowl as a road team wildcard in his second season. Unheard of and unmatched.
He could have easily had 4 or 5 superbowls if it wasn't for Rashard Mendenhall leveon Bell getting injured late, and Tomlin's terrible playoff Defenses.
Mike Tomlin can thank Ben for his tenure and accolades as a longtime head coach. Without Ben's heroics Tomlin would have been long gone and long forgotten.
Just like Bill can thank Brady. Without those guys at QB they wouldn't be who they are.

PS

BLITZ, you feeling better today ??

Keep watching STEELERS videos, you get better.!

Drink LotSA water.!!!

I agree with everything you say, until I got to the last line.

I just modified it a little to show more truth.

I still can't stand Rooney for giving this incredible team to Tomlin. He should have fired that slug and hired an aggressive youngblood. One or two more SBs would be in the case.

I seriously dealt with anger over it. He gave a Maserati to an eight year old, and didn't seem to notice it wrapped around a tree.

yeah, had a cold that turned to pneumonia. couple days on meds and feel better. not 100%, but good enough to stop acting like a little btch

ty

What would a BIG btch look like ?

Bigger than Lunar, but smaller than Coolie ……….. or the other way around……?

If Kay Cowher didn’t have cancer, I can see 3-4 super bowl wins

Whats done is done. No need to hold onto anger. 31 other teams compete against the boys for the ultimate prize.

It’s a crap shoot and a new season. Maybe the Maserati got fixed, detailed and ready to make a vintage run again

No longer angry. I'm over that.
