College Football Week 1

Western Michigan, and any team that only rushes 3 on a Hail Mary and gives the QB all the time in the world to get the ball off, deserves to lose.
Actually, rushing three is the standard (and most commonly used) call in a Hail Mary defense.

And, no, Western Michigan did not deserve to lose. They thought the game was over. They were already celebrating an upset on the road against Michigan as a four-touchdown underdog. Then they had to come back on the field a few minutes later and try to play football again. Just an absolute shame for those kids and coaches, who had an incredible lifetime memory stolen from them.

Yinz team seemed like they had a solid overall performance. Was the RB mentioned your favorite in the day?
The RB I mentioned in pimping coogs post is the starter, who transfered in, Makhi Hughes, this kid Sanford went down last year with an ACL tear but seems to have bounced back. He is the lightening in the thunder and lightening attack he is only a jr so I will likely pimp him next season

When’s the last time you saw a QB get sacked or pressured on a Hail Mary? Might as well drop 11 into coverage.

Again, they shouldn’t have let Underwood get the pass off.

Washington and Washington State are trying to out suck each other. Oh and the officiating crew is trying to out do the crew form the Michigan game last night. Horrible game so far.

Yeah, sure. Drop all 11 guys into coverage. You really don't know very much about basic football concepts, do you?
Again, they shouldn’t have let Underwood get the pass off.
Again, I'm not debating the effectiveness of rushing three, I'm simply pointing out that it's quite ordinary at all levels of football. So saying that any team who uses this common strategy deserves to lose is just silly and narrow-minded.

What's funny about all of this is that Western Michigan actually rushed FOUR on that play, so you've made yourself look even more clueless.

Yeah… I thought they were gonna overturn that one…
It was close. I could’ve went either way.
Wisconsin is playing them tough but I think the cream will rise at the top and Notre Dame will cover the spread of 21 before it’s all set and done

It looks like Wisconsin has come to play.

ND has their hands full to this stage of the game.

Salute the nation

Then the NCAA and NFL should be required to put milliseconds on the scoreboard clock.
The clocks are all supposed to round up, so at 0 seconds, its 0 seconds.. 0.0001 should round up to 1..

The only logical excuse they could have is that the scoreboard clock started early and was wrong.. any of the other crap is just lies and excuses..

I have a friend that oversees work on sporting venue scoreboards.. i can probably get him to weigh in on it, but unless its not like the pros.. 0 seconds means nothing, not even a millionth of a second is left
