Trump better get gas down to $3 pretty soon or the Pubbies will lose the midterms.
Not that the Dems have any real plans to lower the prices of gas and housing, but it gives them something to ***** about.

It's all they have to run on so why give them any ammunition. I guarantee every ad you see from the left will be negative because they stand for nothing.

Not sure either, but it's something that needs to happen because the media is playing this up big time. Can't hate them enough.
Gonna have to disagree that this is a media problem. Oh sure, they’re being opportunistic because of their hate of all things Trump, but he and Hegseth are serving this up on a silver platter. For the media, this is a layup. Saying things like families aren’t concerned or worried about the conditions their sailors are reporting or that the deployment wasn’t nearly long enough is tone deaf at best, and comes off as ignorant and insulting. He isn’t winning anyone over with that kind of rhetoric. Nah, this is a Trump/Hegseth problem.

Trump and the Department of War are obviously playing the long game now..

IMHO…the country and media will still be discussing and debating this military action, not just until mid terms, but all the way until the 2028 general election..

Love it or hate it…
Pray for our country and our troops.

The media may have done a job you. It did me.
Apparently suicide among sailors is not rare.
The Navy has downplayed the incidents on the Lincoln by claiming that there is no rise in sailors committing suicide.

Why no news of this in the past?

Because Trump that’s why!
Had Biden initiated this war, this would not be news.

So, if sailors aren’t committing suicide, then it’s all good? Forgive me, but I’m missing your point.

Look the media is deplorable, but this isn’t their fault. Sure, they’re only interested in it to the extent they can use it to hammer Trump. Nothing new under the sun. That said, Trump could have avoided all of this by having a viable relief plan in place. And he could have avoided saying the insensitive nonsense that came out of his mouth but his ego won’t let him do or say anything sensible when confronted with something he’s certainly wrong about. Trump ****** up, and that’s not the media’s fault.

So what if the media found out there was a relief plan, then put out a bunch of **** about how crappy it was on the boat, just to jump the cycle and make it look bad? it fits with your hammer Trump comment.

I dont understand how you say the media is deplorable, then use their output to say Trump was at fault. Your logic doesn't follow.

Regardless, neither you nor I have any idea about the real evolution of naval planning.

The global trade in oil and other products is being reshaped for the benefit of America. That's the bottom line that whiners do not seem to understand, choosing to focus on the drivel of the day, as brought to this forum by spoonfed Jizzer.

The media is deplorable, and I’m not using their output. I’m using the output of the family members who are reporting what the people on that ship are telling them. This isn’t some contrived media scandal. For once, anyway. Parents and spouses are putting this information out to the public.

And yes, Trump is at fault. He ordered this mess. Maybe he got some bad advice. Either way, I don’t think this mess can be referred to as a success on any level.

I'm glad DT got in but his second term has a "you can't go home again" feel to it maybe not as bad as Joe Gibbs returning to the Redskins but still a letdown.

Contrary to Zona's post.

Disagree strongly. Panama Canal, Venezuelan oil, ME oil. All now under US control
Sorry some seamen are upset, maybe, but they signed up.

You’re missing my point because you misread the heading.
Sailors ARE committing suicide.

Although it’s unfortunate, this is nothing new, and I’m sure it’s not the first time parents have expressed their sons and daughters concerns aboard ships on long deployments.
It’s all big news now because Trump is president.
Hope that helped.

Yes Trump ordered that mess, but he also ordered these “messes” which had positive outcomes resulting in no wars.
One miscalculation out of seven because he expected the same results is not too shabby, so cut the guy some slack.

Like the old saying goes …one “aw shlt” wipes out a thousand “atta boys”.

  • Syria: Bombed multiple times, most notably with Tomahawk cruise missile strikes against the Shayrat Airfield in April 2017 and joint U.S.-UK-France strikes in April 2018 in retaliation for chemical weapons attacks by the Bashar al-Assad regime. U.S. forces also targeted ISIS remnants. [1, 2, 3]
  • Iraq: Struck ISIS targets throughout his term, and notably executed a drone strike near the Baghdad International Airport in January 2020 that killed top Iranian General Qasem Soleimani and Iraqi militia leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis. [1]
  • Afghanistan: Escalated air campaigns against Taliban and ISIS-K fighters, which included dropping the massive GBU-43/B (known as the "Mother of All Bombs") on an ISIS cave complex in Nangarhar province in April 2017. [1, 2, 3]
  • Yemen: Significantly increased counterterrorism drone strikes against Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) during his first year in office and throughout his tenure. []
  • Somalia: Expanded airstrikes heavily against ISIS-Somalia and Al-Shabaab militants, launching scores of strikes over his four years in office. [1, 3]
  • Pakistan & Libya: Continued localized, periodic drone and air strikes targeting fringe elements of transnational terrorist networks near border regions or localized militant pockets. [1]
