New carpet

I haven't had working AC for 3 weeks along with a hole in my living room ceiling and he annoys me at times. Someone get me samich and ice my feet I am ******* grumpy.

Sounds like bad decisions and/or pure laziness earlier in life. Reminds me of the lazy 27 year old salesman I was in charge of one time. He sat in his office and did nothing all day. When confronted, he said "relax, men don't hit their earning years until they are 35." What a clown.

Poor you. Go cry inside.

Did you get hit by a meteorite?
Go get you and the wife each a box of beers to enjoy your summer Sunday.
I wish, insurance may have covered that. My air handler and coil are in the attic in our ranch. Apparently when it was replaced 6 years ago they did a terrible job and didn’t bring it up to code. The heat cause expansion issues on the plenum and the ducts leaked air causing massive sweating that basically had it raining through my ceiling. Thi was on the heels of my wife and daughters vintage store having a sewage backup and the week before that my wife’s identity and accounts all being hacked while we were on vacation. On top of that her work van had the transmission go out and it is a rare 8 speed that cost 8,000 to replace. It could all be worse but what a ****** 4 weeks. Two Companies refused to even do attic work. Finally found one, $6,300 to totally reinstall the system properly and bring it to code. Waiting on the water damage quote.

Lazy? How so? I am interested in this response.

Dang Lebinon, sorry for all the “bad” you’ve been having.

I hope each situation turns out for the better and hopefully less $$$ching$$$ out of pocket.

Don’t be to hard on the fact that a couple companies said they won’t work in the attic, not sure where you live but typical attics can run 120 deg F to if hotter days / sun 150 F + temperatures. A lot is hinged on how well the attic is ventilated but there is usually serious heat involved.

In any event I do hope who ever actually works up there does conscientious work and keeps an eye on their well being as well.

Good Luck

Luckily it got done Friday. They picked an overcast day and started early. The giant hole in my ceiling helped them ventilate. Lol. They were able to work from below on some of it with no ceiling in the way.

Yikes! What a string of bad luck.

Hope it's all turning around for you and your wife.

(You almost have enough material for your own country song; thankfully we already have reached the quota and don't need any more country or western music.)

Bitchy, more like it.

If it makes you feel any better, I've been down with a migraine the last 10 days, needed a shot in the *** to help curb it. And like you, had a storm blow through on the 4th of July and ripped off the facia off the east gable of my home and I'm about to spend $20K to replace the roof.
For your sake I am hoping that *** is not a way of spelling dic

Vet your contractor good, even go as far as to ask them for proof of insurance and get the certificate from them.
