Judgement Day "Shady Brady" vs. Roger - OFFICIAL THREAD

Brady apparently tried to say that his camp is aware of a punter and long snapper who used paper clips during the game to deflate. His good buddy Adam Schefter reported it

Does Brady not know that they use different balls for kicking and normal play?

Just an attempt to shift the blame and a rather lame one. Interesting that no one came forward to report that violation. So if Brady is under oath and tossing out here say evidence maybe the team should receive additional fines, belicheat** should get a year for second offense, the long snapper and punter should be fined and suspended as well. None of which has anything to do with marsha's suspension except that he was aware of another instance of cheating which he failed to report so he was in essence aiding and abetting another offense so give him two more games.

GAYlord br*dy can say what he wants, BUT, doesn't he realize, punters / long snappers, want MORE air in the ball???? Deflateing a kicking ball "deflates" what you are tempting to do, while cheating.........

Grasping at straws nonetheless...

Who kicks a deflated ball successfully? Does he think everyone else not named T*m Br*dy is stupid???

Exactly. Why would you want to kick a deflated ball? It won't go as far or be as accurate. You would want it over-inflated, if anything.

Eh if you were trying to do a short punt and have it not bounce as hard so you could pin them inside the ten that would make sense.... but not from, lets say, your own 20 yard line...

That is certainly possible, but unless the punter practiced with an underinflated ball, he would have much less knowledge as to how hard to punt the ball in that situation. Punters practice pinning punts inside the 10, using regulation-inflated footballs. I think that they are unlikely to bring in a completely new factor into the equation at a critical point in a game.

The Guess Who have a song that makes me think of *bradys case...No time...got, got no time...

But, you forget that it's billy b*y coaching and he is a genious. Their punter has to punt 100 deflated ball at the end of every practice.....

It seems that we have no news yet, do you suppose the news will be out before or after the weekend of the 4th of July, what with the cheatriots** being listed in the NFL as the patriots**

He hasn't made a decision on Bell yet so I see no reason this won't take just as long.

You know he is feeling the heat when he is willing to throw his own teammates under the bus.

The foul stench of fraud permeates that organization. It's been around since 2001. It came in with the coach. It's clear the NFL is just entertainment and not true sport. Each year becomes a bigger disappointment than the year before for the fan longing for a true uncorrupted competitive game.

Here's my problem...

There are "that many" players appealing their cases - as a lawyer, Ol' Rog needs to take a course w/ Judge Judy...why can't judgment be passed 72 hours after the case has been presented???

I think it depends on what points are raised in the appeal process. It might also be related to trying to manage the bad publicity to the league by releasing this info at the time it can get the least amount of press such as right after a major news event. It could also involve him wanting to appear to be spending adequate time considering the facts or he may wish to get additional evidence from experts that could prove or disprove the positions of the appellate.

I think the biggest one is managing the publicity first, and trying to appear to deliberate over the facts second. As to gathering evidence or information he has never seemed overly interested in facts before so why start now?

The NFL has to produce a document that is as close to iron-clad as possible when they make their ruling, because camp Br*dy WILL appeal. That's what's taking so long. They have to word it properly so the weasels have to work to find their loopholes for appeal.

Lawyers. A pox on them all.

He is not going to get a reduction, he refused to cooperate. Period.

The Brady / Bell suspensions are a perfect avenue for Goodell to make an emphatic statement. Reduce Bells and keep or add to Bradys.

One player did all that was asked of him by the league, the other did not. It is that cut and dried, that simple.

Even Goodell would have a hard time ******* that up.........oh wait..............****.

SD is right. No reduction now. All or nothing...including Brady's rep...which is why I think Brady wins....NFL doesn't want to sully his rep. I think the NFL sees their rep tied to his.

Praying I'm wrong.
