They have one too many now, I am gambling on the Steelers will say no.

They got reach around Watson, papa Smurf, and the hype kid.. I would normally say they are good. But the factory of sadness never met a QB they wouldn’t take.

Outside of passing over BigBen aka their daddy.
 
I don't watch college ball enough to make a judgetment.
But if you don't have a franchise qb. And don't think allar or Howard is the guy. Then yeah you gotta consider
 
Probably would've been a 5th after this season, but a favorite of a lot of draft experts and a guy the NFL was high on this upcoming season. If I had to guess early rankings going into the 2026 college season:
1. Manning
2. Moore
3. Mestemaker
4. Carr
5. Sorsby

Then you get into Sayin, Sellers, Chambers, Mensah, Bailey, Maiava.

was Manning number1? admittedly dont watch tons of college ball. but have seen a few of his games. just dont see the hype other than last name

Manning would've gone top-10 this past draft, probably first overall. Bloodlines are a huge part of it, however, he has the size along with a good arm and is pretty athletic. He also improved the second half of the season (12 TDs 6 INTs over the first 6 games, 14 TDs 2 INTs over the final 7 games). There's also some smoke he will return for another season. Even if his last name wasn't Manning, give me a toolsy QB with upside over a limited traits QB like Sayin.

big traits allard , wins nothing.
neither has manning , and he plays for a top college team.

but thinking back , neither did terry and neither did ben.
neither did mahommes , a-aron, or Brady.

so i guess im wrong
 
At least someone in Sorsby's camp had enough brains to figure out that he was about to become one of the biggest pariahs in the college football community, had he remained at Texas Tech. The negative backlash from that Texas judge's ruling was widespread and almost universal.

He's truly a dual-threat QB with potential. Some team will take a chance on him.
 
He will continue to gamble. He will get caught and taint the team he is on. The nfl shouldn't allow him in. But he will get in, he will gamble, he will taint " the shield ".
 
i wonder what the over/under is on what the draft slot for him is.
 
He played for Indiana and Cincinnati, two very storied franchises known for their QB development and NFL ready prospects, NOT!

I know, I know...Natty champs 2026 and Mendoza #1 overall...I'm talking history folks. One damn year does not a QB factory make.

Why waste your time bringing in a camp body that you're only going to release to the USFL or whatever that sub-league BS is now-a-days unless you need some pointers on parlay strategies, I guess?

I just think the room is full this year. There would be no time to play and or evaluate 5QBs. They talk about Rudy’s vet presence and Will’s ongoing eval and squeezing in Drew’s transformation. Just don’t see where he would fit without shipping someone off. Even then your roster probably only carries 3.
