Curious how/why he failed the physical.
A lot of people wanted this kid to do well with us. Didn't pan out.

He was a great gamble in the 7th round, but only played in 6 games in 3 years... they must have decided they had enough prospects after rookie camp that it was best to let him try to catch on elsewhere
It's a shame Trice couldn't stay healthy. Always liked the player, liked the pick, but you can't stay with the club from the tub.
When there is a comprehensive staff change, the new staff ofyen moves on from guys like Trice, who have potential but haven't established themselves and they have their own prospects they want in that slot...

In a numbers game behind JPJ, Dean, Ramsey, Everette, Samuel Jr and Echolls I was finding it hard to even have him on the bubble unless the injury bug bit.
And we all know if the injury bug is biting it’s biting Cory once, twice, trice
He was highly unlikely to beat the numbers game in what appears to be a pretty deep group, maybe even a strength of the defense.
The safety position is the spot we could really use another dude, not JAG, a true dude that makes the offense abide.
3 seasons too late but wishing him all the best in his future endeavors...

Injury was the big factor but also add in the crowded room with better talent.
The Steelers are being kind in releasing him now so that he may potentially heal up and find work down the line.
Note: He couldn’t pass the physical either.
