a) franchise qb, which they hope not to do because they hope one of the young qbs can step up, or

Steelers only want Rodgers for backup qb. Economical and accomplished backup. Nothing to get worked up about.

Steelers intend not to win many games next year. They will field one of thethe youngest starting lineups in league next year.

All the personalities of Bob could easily fit in one booth. Cooch would get the other side all to himself.

Seems the front office settled on the same number I proposed in that quote from March 27th. I'm fairly certain come the season opener GOAT will be the starter. Remember he said that when he did decide to walk away we wouldn't see him on TV or the web, anywhere...yeah he's been all over the podcast circuit.

If we see this O-line does it mean we have improved?:

Troy Fautanu (LT), Gennings Dunker (LG), Zach Frazier (C), Mason McCormick (RG), Max Iheanachor (RT)

I don't know...nobody knows, but at 15M it's a no brainer letting GOAT christen McCarthy's new offense. Let Howard learn for one more year and I really don't know much about Aller. I do know that the idea that a franchise QB is going to come out of Will Howard or Aller, or anybody else we pick in the next few years is extremely hopeful...and really semi-delusional.

What I'm fairly sure of is Bernard getting thrown in the fire right from the get go. With D.K. across from him and finally getting the heat taken off him with some Washington sprinkled in this offense might go farther into the playoffs...of course all of this is speculation, but that's what this site is for right?

Are you trying to tell me that the if the Steelers bring Rodgers back, they don't want him to be an economical and accomplished backup?
