Aren't they listing Riley as a FB? Not that he can't do a bit of the other stuff. Just what I read. I wouldn't mind seeing a real FB role in our WC McCarthy offense. Kuhn says hello.

McCarthy's offense is a version of west coast and he wants to use a Fullback at times. That's what Nowakowski did at Indiana, play that hybrid FB/TE. I heard somewhere that the Steelers wanted Michigan FB Max Bredeson but he was taken ahead of them.

They will get a UDFA scrub to be the #3 TE.

That's a good point about McCarthy and his use of the fullback. I think the Steelers ended up with the better player in Nowakowski instead of Bredeson. Bred is a very good blocker, but adds very little in the passing game. Super surprised he was drafted that high.
