Possibly. But, I wasn't counting on Howard to be the savior anyway. Based on what I've seen of Allar, I wouldn't hold my breath on him being it either. He lacks the "clutch" gene and it has shown.I mean it basically mean there is a good chance Howard will be cut or traded now
Assumptions make an *** out of you every time. I was being sincere you *****...Hey coolie, he's talking **** as usual. He can have it back
That Ravens guy is retarded
I kinda think the plan may be to fail their way to a top 10 pick this year by throwing the two of them to the wolves
And the church said ..... AMENWhatever works and gets us back to the promised land. Either good or bad,I just don't want in-between.
I never understood this argument at all. It was a big "negative" for Tyler Shough last year as well. If you get 8 years of starting caliber from ANY draft pick, it's a great pick isn't it? So he's 33 after those 8 years... you already got your pick worth, and likely a solid second contract as well. He's 24 and will be 25 in October.
Fair assessment. I have no dog in the fight as I selected him in several of my mocks. They liked him. It would have been silly to risk that. For what? Allar is a specific player. They probably have multiple options at G, and LB, and DB and Edge. But if Allar is gone, maybe they're done at QB until Rd 4.
I'd take him still, but I haven't seen any other reason.I never understood this argument at all. It was a big "negative" for Tyler Shough last year as well. We have players playing well into their mid 30's quite often in todays game, QB's playing into their 40's... IF a player is THAT GOOD, age shouldn't deter you from drafting him. There has to be more than just his age...
Yeah, QBs that dont process well dont usually suddenly fix things in the pros, but maybe the QB guru sees something we dont... its a third... its no different than drafting Rudolph really.. if he turns into a good backup it is a value pick... but it feels like a reachPossibly. This team isn't going anywhere until they get a QB. I'm also cool with them taking chances.Allar is much like our first round pick. A huge upside but a cellar for a floor. With enough coaching he could be the best QB not only in this draft but the last five. Or he could be Christian Hackenberg. But at 76 you aren't going to get everything so you are either banking on potential or getting a guy who will at minimum contribute. We swung for the fences and I am ok with that.
No you weren't. Do us both a favor. Put me on ignore and don't respond to my posts.Assumptions make an *** out of you every time. I was being sincere you *****...
Rapoport already reported the Steelers are willing to trade Rudolph. If nothing else, Howard will compete for the job, starting or backup. Why? He hasn't played a single down. That would be stupid as hell. Competition elevates and seperates.
Not to bash him, but id have zero faith he would develop a raw Qb and OT or use a wr like Bernard correctlyThe bright side? Tomloser would have picked Allar in round one.
