Who do you want/BPA in the 2nd round?

Who do I want on Day 2?

Emmanuel Pregnon
Zach Branch
Carson Beck
Lee Hunter (but more likely Darrell Jackson jnr)

IDEALLY- I'd like to trade Day 3 picks to move up into the 2nd round (7th, 4th & 3rd) & then use a 7nd, 5th & 4th to move back into another 3rd round pick. Get another 2nd round pick & you can add another WR or Safety.

Lee Hunter or Stukes would be attractive. I think Boston will be gone. I also like Chase

Emmanuel McNeil-Warren Is the guy I want in the second. But it would take a trade up.
Bryce Lance WR. …..and Louis…the LB from Pitt.
Daryl Jackson.

It’s not a top need and I admittedly am not a scout expert, but every time I watched ILB Rodriguez play he was always making something happen.

I agree and disagree with you, man…
Rodriguez is a stud, reminds me of a guy that used to wear number 59 for the black and gold, and I believe it is a need for us. We need an inside linebacker that makes plays and stops the run…

And yes, I’m aware Jack and played on the outside in our 43 defense..
Rodriguez’s game and skill sets. Remind me of him so much regardless of inside or outside linebacker.

They’re moving up in round two, no way they sit on their hands with the amount of picks they have. Boston, McDonald, Hunter, Rodriguez, McNeil-Warren, Bernard, Hood. They may let it play out for a few picks but I’d bet they’re on the board in the first 10 picks of the second round

There’s also under the radar interior, defensive lineman out of Missouri by the name of McClellan..
I think he’s gonna be a good one
A 4th 5th for him?

An ILB that makes Sh!t happen really makes a difference. Our guy leads the league in missed tackles. Was it him? Was it Tomlin? Was it Memorex?

Steelers current WR room. Note that McCarthy like to use 3 WRs.
DK Metcalf
Michael Pittman
Roman Wilson
Ben Skowronek
AT Perry
Mat Hurleman
Other scrubs

Roman Wilson has stunk so far. Can't get open and runs the wrong routes. He's small. Steelers don't even have a reliable WR3. Nevermind of DK or Pittman gets injured.

After getting stuffed in a locker by the Eagles, I hope the steelers don't overreact in rd 2 and make a stupid trade just to prove they're not sitting on their hands.
It could be part of their rationale but I doubt they trade up just to prove something. They’ve stubbornly sat on their butt before, I don’t think they give a hoot who’s saying what.

At the top of my list would be Jacob Rodriguez, but I doubt the Steelers sniff him now. I am guessing that he will be off the board to either Buffalo or Cincinnati. I think he would be the green dot signal caller that the defense needs and help to clean up its communication issues. As I see it, his main issue is his size which could be a concern, although many other extremely successful inside linebackers have been of similar stature.

I have a feeling that Treydan  Stukes is going to be taken higher than many think and will not make it to 53. His age is a bit of a concern and could cause him to slide but he has had many 30 visits so is on the radar of many teams.

Apart from the abovementioned, I will be happy if we get any of the following players later tonight:

Jermod McCoy CB
Kieonte Scott CB
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren S
Bud Clark S
AJ Halcy S
Jake Golday ILB
Josiah Trotter ILB
Jalen Farmer OG

...and preferably any two of the following:
Elijah Sarratt WR
Ted Hurst WR
Chris Bell WR
Skyler Bell WR
De'Zhuan Stribling WR
Zachariah Branch WR

I do not want any of the QBs until round 4 or later.

I think if there is a player in round 2 you really want you take one of the 3's and trade up to get him. I'd probably do that for Germie Bernard. He would be that solid WR3 we're looking for. With that, we'd have a new OT and a WR to fill out the O pretty well, maybe target Billy Schrauth at OG with #121 (aside from his injury history he'd be a top 75 pick). Then I'd go heavy on D aside from maybe a TE3 and another WR late (Lewis Bond, BC?).

Even though we have a lot of picks you don't always really find what you are looking for when your pick comes up. The other part of "Day 4" of the draft (you know, UDFAs) is the vets that get cut based on who a team added in the draft. There are always a good 20-30 players with some tread on the tires that become available as FAs shortly after the draft. And, they're also cheap.

So, who are the BPA'S in the 2nd round and who do you like? I think they have to go WR but to get someone who has a chance to play significant snaps, they need to trade way up in the 2nd to grab someone - preferably a decent size guy with speed, good hands and can get RAC. They need that good slot guy (still could be Roman but not if Rodgers plays as he won't throw to him). They don't need another big WR as they already have their two big starters.

What say you?
Do I have to say it AGAIN??? Germie Bernard...

Emmanuel Pregnon, but no way he's there at 53. He'll go top 15 in the 2nd.

All of this talk about trading up to dump some picks and get a better player. Don't you have to be able to find another team who wants to work with you on something like this? Lots of people tossing it around like it's no big deal. It's a really big deal most of the time.
